It's 11:00 p.m. here and almost 90 degrees. Ridiculous!

85 here in wv also. I hate it, can't get cool, took a shower around 6, probably take another one soon. Says 96 tomorrow, I think we'll all melt! Let's pray the power stays on...

It is 8:13 PM here and it is 57 outside.
We have only had sunshine about an hour and a half today.....the marine layer (AKA fog) has been in which means it is HOT in the central valley.
I would rather have the cool weather than the hot.

Don't know what the temp is, but I DO know it is HOT & HUMID! arghhhh

Horrible..almost 100 today and for the next three days. 80 now after midnight. Come on winter.

So hot last night, I couldn't sleep all night--tossed and turned in a pool of sweat, got up with a splitting heat headache this morning. It's predicted that it's going to be over 100 for the next 3-4 days. Heat and I don't do well together. Have to do some errands around here today, but am thinking of heading to the country house tomorrow--where we have a finished basement. Think I'll be holing up there until this breaks.

I'm with azzalea - heading to the basement sounds good. Even though we have AC I try to keep the thermostat at a reasonable temperature. And with the temp hovering around 100 we could have brown outs or even outages. Let's hope it breaks soon - and we get some rain.

Its only 73º at 8:52am. Its been raining almost all week.

I have a friend who left for Elkins W.Va. yesterday for the music workshops at the college that are being held over the next two weeks. I hope she's managing to stay cool somehow and her Cajun accordion doesn't melt!

Oh for those glorious days of last week. It was 102 today. I played 18 holes of golf and will admit it wasn't that bad because the humidity was down. We could use some rain....lots of rain as a matter of fact.

102 here and not a drop of rain in a month.

92 right now, at almost 7 pm. The air conditioning stopped working this afternoon and I had to lower the thermostat just to feel anything. Cleaned up a little in the garage and out back and am soaked with sweat. Lauren and her friend who ate dinner with us helped. We had bbq chicken, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and gravy and baked beans. Did a lot of it in the microwave but then had to bake the chicken under the broiler to get that bbq sauce to stick.

DS and I went to the aquatic center around 5p.m. today. It was so hot and humid later in the afternoon. We went down the really big enclosed tube slide and both decided we are too old for something that fast. The other slides that dump us out into the lazy river are more fun.

Temp peaked at 89 F. It was partly cloudy and when the sun was covered, it was bearable. I worked outside all afternoon, but made sure I had my straw hat on and I positioned my work in the shade. 'Twas bearable. Dew point 65 F. Temp falling into low 70s tonight. My air conditioner does not have to work very hard to maintain comfy living quarters. Can't complain, but it may be more humid tomorrow and my project continues. I'm rebuilding a front walk made of patio stone. Was sealing the stones today to protect them from melting chemicals. That's what tore up the original walk.
