Four cats so my candles are now battery! I do like pine scented ones though.

I'd never light one....I use them strictly for decoration. I buy them by color & size...mostly ivory/vanilla

We are all so helpful! lol I rarely burn candles either, I use my fragrance lampe. I used to like vanilla and sweet bakery scents, but lately I've been leaning towards the tropical fruity ones.

I like all kinds of the ones I make..I don't burn other candles any more...If I'm gifted a candle...I regift..If you know me..you get me a candle holder (empty)...LOL

Right now I have a yankee dupe of Sun and Sand ( I think that's what it's called.)
A strawberry vanilla blend I did and I have Lemon in the bathroom...oh and Love's Baby Soft dupe in my bedroom..

I love to have a spicey cinnamony scent going when the weather starts to chill..oh and cider...

Sorry. Don't do candles. I don't like scented things. I've left stores because of their scented candle areas overpowering my senses.

I like to put the little battery ones in votives for decorating purposes. The rare times I use real candles they are never scented.

I like to burn candles, love anything vanilla scented, coconut, and peach. Anything that is a soft scent....
I like Yankee Soy Candles and I have gotten some from Bath & Body works that I like and I have even found a few Glade ones at the grocery store that smell pretty good too.

I have been using the soy tarts lately. My favorite scents are Hillbilly home brew, mulled cider and the christmasy type scents. I like the yankee candles too.

Candle Impressions from QVC. They are flameless but look absolutely real. I never burn real candles. Too dangerous.

I'm not a fan of scented candles; most of them give me a terrible headache. Like Wildchild, I have left stores where the fragrances are so over the top. I stay away from candle shops.

I think candles add a nice warm glow, and I have several...just not scented ones.

Colonial Candles are the BEST. My favorite scent is Winter Woods (or something like that) it's a pine scent, but it's sooo mellow; you notice it, but you don't....(kwim?)

I use an electric candle warmer and don't light candles.

My favorite candle is any I find at the thrift store that pleases my sense of smell - I refuse to pay big $$$ on candles when they are $2 at the GoodWill. One candle warmer + good-smelling candle will scent the whole house.

I also avoid the scents of candles as it gets my asthma going. Also the danger of fire when you have a cat is too great.

Another that cannot tolerate scented candles. I had to go into the optometrists a couple of weeks ago and could not believe they had candles burning. The office manager was really upset when I told her that I could not stay in the waiting area and why. I guess she had not thought about it but as a member of the health community I think she should have.

I like Terri's candles chopped up and melted in my electric melter. No worry about fire and she has the BEST scents!

My absolute favorite is Tocca "Havana" scent. I also love Jo Malone "Pomegranate Noir". Both are pricey so I burn them sparingly.

Love Yankee Candles and my recent favorite brand is WW (WoodWick)... these crakle as they burn. I tend to stick with the earthy smells. Not a huge fan of flowery scents.

I cough and choke when I'm around scented candles. I often wonder what people are breathing in when they burn them so much. Obviously it can't be good for you. I enjoy candles (and fire for that matter a campfire is a wonderful thing) but they need to be plain old cheap paraffin candles. No stench, no smoke, just clean burning candles.

Candle aisles and cleaner aisles are two in a store I have to move through rapidly.

What some call "rainforest", "citrus" and the like would be more appropriately called "cheapbeerfart" and "armpit". And I tell you for true there ain't no way in heaven, hell or Houston that I'd eat an apple pie that smelled like an apple pie scented candle!

Love Yankee Candles. I have several favorites... MacIntosh Apple, anything cinnamon, or Christmas tree scented. Hubby likes honeydew melon. Me, not so much.

I'm with you Vicki7, I love Yankee Candles. They burn so evenly. My daughter gets them for me every year for my b-day and Christmas. I have a candle burning every day. I like the cinnamon, pumpkin pie and the vanilla lime the best. I've noticed the Walmart Mainstay's brands burn pretty good too. The wick doesn't die out in the middle of the jar like some other cheaper ones do.

I love love love candles...Brian lives in fear of me burning the 5th wheel or the house down...I love outdoorsy scents and cooking smells....Teri...can you send me the info on your candles again I am going to order from you next time.....I had it before and lost it....bsanglen@hotmail.com....Thanks Stacy

Thanks for all the input. I usually buy Yankee candles and really like them, but was interested in what else is out there that I might like. I also like Claire Burke.

Thanks, Orie, for reminding me of Wood Wick, I haven't had one of those in a long time. Terilynn, those are two I haven't heard of, I'll be on the look-out for those. If they are expensive, I'll probably like them. LOL!

Country Bumpkin, if you read this, tell me about the candle store where you've worked. Is it a regional or national company? Which ones were the best sellers?

Shea...I haven't got to work in several months, but our #1 selling candle is the Pomegrante. You want find another Pomegrante candle that smells the same, because the scent is especially made for US! No other company can buy it. You might find something close..but not exact.

They have a website (jandjcandles.net)that has the scent list and they ship anywhere and everywhere. The also have a Facebook (that isn't really update often).

Some of my favorite scents (other that the Pomegrante) are

Birthday Cake
Butt Naked (in the Summer)
Blueberry Pie
Creme Brulee
Pomegrante-Melon
Twilight
Hot Fudge Brownie
Hot Apple Pie (in the Fall)

And, a lot of others that I can even think of right now.

Thanks so much for the info, CB. I've bookmarked the site! So what does Butt Naked smell like? LOL. I'd love to try the Pomegranate. I think I'd gain weight just burning the Hot Fudge Brownie!! Their line is certainly extensive, makes it hard to decide, doesn't it?

Butt Naked is kind of a tropical scent. Until this year...I hated it! Go figure!
