Gardenblue13 you can buy inga edulis seeds from tradewindsfruit.com. I did and now have an attractive plant growing well. DO NOT LET THE SOIL DRY OUT. I had three, the soil dried out on two, so now I only have one. Lesson learned.

Handling the ice cream, I found it melted very quickly, not so much because of the sauce. I also have a hard time working quick enough for ice cream rolls and cakes too. I just used chocolate chips and was pretty impressed with it. I tried a different recipe because I couldn't find this one and it was pretty bad - too much butter I think. I did use to work for DQ in my teen years and the dilly bars were easy because you use the ice cream machine and refreeze them then dip them. Kind of off topic but I love this story, I went to dip a cone and we kept the chocolate sauce right at the edge of the counter and I went to dip a cone and guess I held it in too long because when I pulled it out the ice cream plopped in it and splashed all over some kid who couldn't stand any closer (don't worry its lukewarm, if that, so no scalding, burns, nothing) but the the first thing I grabbed was the sundae rag, so not only was she covered in chocolate but also blueberry, pineapple, caramel. The mom was so mad she just left the store??? Whatever. I thought it was funny but what do you expect from a 16 yr old.

Glad the photos are enticing! Thanks for all the comments and compliments! This is the first time I've made ice cream in about 6 years! What was I thinking? Why did I wait so long! Oh yeah, now I remember--calories! Lots and lots of calories! The ice cream canister is part of my little Rival electric ice cream maker--it looks like stainless steel on the inside, white high impact plastic on the outside, and if you shake it when its room temp, it sounds slushy--when it freezes, it's solid! I freeze the canister overnight, and then the motor sits on top of the canister. The motor part is connected to the stirring thingy, plug it in, turn it on, pour in the chilled ice cream base thru the little access hole on the plastic top (this is connected to part of the motor and even though it comes apart, I don't pull it apart unless I need to wash the plastic part). About 20 minutes later, ya gots yerself a creamy quart of cool yummy goodness! Smiles, Sooz
