~Our Passports Have Arrived!!!

*yippee*

The cruise to Alaska is one month and three days away, a long time to wait, or so I thought.

Today our passports came and the trip has suddenly became 'real' to me.

I purchased luggage at TJ Maxx (got a great deal!) two months ago that has been sitting in the family downstairs, out of sight and out of mind. When I opened the passports I went downstairs and opened every piece and checked every compartment out. Now I'm online looking at clothes and mentally sorting my wardrobe (such as it is) in mind: take THIS....toss THAT and making a list of 'what to take'.

I do have a question for seasoned travelers.

Mainly, what's the best way to travel with a camera.

I know I can take my camera case onboard as a carry on but what do I do with the media cards? Will the security xrays strip the pictures off the card? If so, how do I handle this at airport security. Flying out will be no problem as the cards will be empty. However, coming home they will be full. I hate to lose any pictures I'm going to take on this trip!
