I am new here, just started trading this summer, and I try to be fair, and I think everyone else has too. However, I'm worried I was just scammed, as I haven't received my package and the other person hasn't responded to my emails (yet). I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I sent a medium sized priority box, even though you're supposed to keep first trades small, I'd gotten used to the friendliness and generosity I've been encountering. I've already completed over 20 trades, seeds and plants and mixes of the two. I've been addicted to it! I feel people out by exchanging a few emails, talk a little, make firm agreements, and I hope I've pleased everyone I've traded with. I did kinda grinch someone, but I sent a new package of seeds later to make up for it. I felt bad for only giving her a couple seeds. I don't see how con artists can live with themselves. Seriously. How can people trick someone into sending them lots of plants? How can they even look at them as they grow in their yard? I can't comprehend how people can live with that. I'm trying to increase my karma here, helping out people when I can, which isn't often as I'm a beginner, but I have helped out a couple people, sent seeds for nothing in return. I look at my new plants with love, remembering the kindness and generosity behind them, and the people whose lives have touched mine, and I pray for my new friends, plant and people!!!

I admit it...I have been a grinch in the past-well the last few years that we lived in Philadelphia. You have to keep in mind that where we lived it was a rough area of the city and so not too many "little" kids would come around. You would however, get a lot of older kids-you know the ones with attitudes and big mouths. No costumes to speak of-just maybe a sports themed tee shirt or jersey if that. What I thought was funny is that these older kids would come out of their homes to trick or treat, yet no one handed out candy from their homes. (sigh) It was unsafe to open your doors in my old neighborhood so I would turn out the lights, go upstairs and watch a movie with the kids. This year was very different! I have some halloween decor to put out-stuff from the old days. I even found some old costumes that I made for the kids. On Friday a few of Drews new friends pulled up and had with them 4 pumpkins which they sat out on the driveway and carved. I thought it was a fun thing to do since Drew hasn't lived there too long and when they left they left the carved pumpkins behind for us to keep-kinda a welcome to the area gift....so sweet and they did a great job carving too!! All in all we had about 50 kids-I had way more candy than I really needed but keep in mind it was raining off and on plus there was a baseball (world series) game on which I am sure was a distraction. I had a great time sitting out when I could and talking to the neighbors...next year I will have a better idea of volume and will get more decor to make the house look good!! Cheers! Susie

I'm thinking of you daily and hope God will touch you and help the Dr's. to help you. What a job getting all this Christmas STUFF stored away. I can't do a whole lot with my foot so I worked on it yesterday and some today and still not finished. Yes my Uncle lived here in Franklin, my Dear Aunt will probably have to go to a Nursing Facility now because she can not take care of herself. I now have my Mom, two Aunts and a Cousin in the Nursing home. I guess there will be three Aunts now very soon. My Cousin will be going home after she has physical therapy and can walk again. I'm fearing I may be there for physical therapy after I have this second foot surgery.....sure hope not. Shirley
