Kathy, I feel the same as you about papaya. It's okay, but that's about all.

I'm sorry, I don't have any help for you concerning the scrubs.

Last Sunday Anna and I went with her half sister's adoptive family to see it. Anna is 12 and her sister is 7. Her sister liked it fine and Anna said it was okay. The rest of us enjoyed the popcorn. :)

I love fresh papayas when I am on Maui.....I have tried to pick out ones here in the market and I am always disappointed.
Now I want to go to Maui so see our Hawaiian friends and to go to the big swap meet. I buy all my fruits and veggies there if I can....fresher and cheaper.
Back in the "olden" days of nursing, we had to wear white nylons, polished white shoes, a white dress uniform and our nursing cap and pin. Made doing CPR very difficult so the docs who owned the hospital finally let us wear a crisp white top and white pants but still the white nylons and shoes.
Things changed slowly here way back then.......but at least patients, visitors, etc. could immediately identify a licensed nurse.
It was difficult to tell when DH had his bypass surgery a couple of years ago except for the student nurses.

You're right Carol, even the ward clerks and supply clerks in our hospital wear scrubs.

I can eat papaya but not my favorite...and the yellow ones...bleck! I love pomegranates though...and my neighbor has a bushful that I get half of! Yeah! I'm going to buy a juicer and make pomegranate juice.

I don't like papayas, or mangos...for that matter, but I buy mangos for the possums and they love them. I may have to get a papapya for them.

I do like papaya if it's nice and ripe. It's good the way they serve it in Hawaii, in wedges with fresh lime juice squeezed over the top.

I don't know if they have them in your area, but our Ross Dress For Less seems to have a lot of clothing in petite sizes.

My dentist is my best source of movie reviews. He had seen Wall-E and said, although he liked it, he could not figure out who it was made for.

He didn't think the storyline would appeal to children and the cartooning wouldn't appeal to adults. Richard Roeper of the TV review program loved it.

In Honduras they have two varieties of Papayas one the small one which you can buy in the states is very good fresh, but the larger one about the size of a watermelon, uuuuggghhh No way. I loved picking mangos from the trees and eating them fresh, oh, how I wish I had one now.

I love tropical fruits anytime, anywhere. Like Petaloid said, a squirt of lime on it is good.

Where are the Cherokees on sale and they don't have your size? Ask if you can get a raincheck for the same price when they get your size in.

Papayas are best with lime juice squeezed on them before eating. I don't think I'll ever like the smell of them though. Ugh!

I prefer mangoes to papaya.

it depends on where they're grown...the larger ones arn't as good, for sure...but you have to remember all the good nutrition they have...

had a mexican dinner one night for friends and for dessert i made mango/papaya home-cranked ice cream...now that was yummy...

Never had papaya but enjoy a mango.

I prefer a mango over a papaya. I make a really good mango salsa. If I eat it alone, I like to squeeze lime juice on it...then chili powder.

I love red papaya, but not yellow papaya.

I love mangos but like others am neutral about papaya.

Kath I have seen petite scrubs in all sizes at Walmart.They have both the drawstring style and the elastic waist style. My friend is pretty large and she says they run roomier than others she's tried.

Wildchild, the 2 Wal-marts closest to me have had none in petites in the last six months or more. They also only have a few colors in the elastic waist, can't wear the low-rider drawstring type.

I like dried Papaya - it is good for ailing tummies.
The stuff that is in the cups is nasty though - no flavor.
Kath even short heavy nurses are wonderful!! Hope you solve your scrub problem. Know anyone who hems??
