Oh, how cute!

Sue

She is soooo cute. I love her little collar. I bet you made it, didn't you?

Awwww...she looks like my PITA when he was little. His name started out as Nick, but soon was changed to PITA! LOL! but now he's the most mellow friendly cat, just had to get through the terrible 1's! LOL!

Thanks for admiring the baby! Yes, Angela- that's her 3rd collar so far. It's like a scrunchie for your hair and has a snap to make taking it off and on easier. She had a tiny pink one that got too tight, a patriotic one for the 4th and now this turquoise one. She can wear almost any color, so I think her next one will be lime green. :) I have a regular pink, fabric collar ready for her, but she was so tiny and complained that the nylon "hardware" was too heavy for her "ickle" neck so I whipped up some scrunchies. (I learned a new word from a Scottish friend- ickle means little.)

She's ticked because you caught her stalking your mouse.

Good caption for the "mouse" photo....

Yeechhhh....Not sweet enough, don't like it.....

She is just precious.

I am not a Cat lover but she is adorable.

And for those of you who have never had the pleasure of seeing Flamingo's infamous big toe, you can view it in the first pic. LOL

Oh my gosh is that too cute!! You're not making this easy, I'm thinking that now I'm retired I might get a furry friend to keep me company. I just started quilting about 10 months ago (I love your BLOG Flamey) and I worry about all the thread, needles and stuff that a kitty could get to. If I do adopt it will be an older cat so maybe it wouldn't be too much of a worry.

Susan

She's too cute!! Almost makes me want another one. Nah! lol

What do ya mean She can wear almost any color, so I think her next one will be lime green.? You're sounding like one of those 'toddler beauty pageant' Moms. Too funny!!

That's so cute. I'll say she can wear any color. That last picture looks like she ate a lime. Probably out of your margarita I'll bet. Can't say you don't share.
Leslie

Still laughing at that last picture......AND the title of your post!!

Aww she's adorable...

OMG, LMBO--I needed these pics!

Donna (^_^)

She is such a cute little kitten. Kittens and cats sure love to get into strange places.

That made me LOL.

How adorable is she?

I absolutely love the second photo! She is adorable...and I am not a cat person. But those eyes...they just look like they are saying, "how can you NOT love me?". LOL

She is such a fun kitten but hard to photograph, so I was glad to get these shots. Thanks for admiring the baby!

Last night she was so wound up it was hysterical to watch and we are so happy to have her, she's adding a lot of fun to the household. (Well, the big cats aren't convinced of that yet, but they're getting better about it.) Times like this, I wish I had a video camera with great lights. She was pinging around on the loveseat chasing Woody's fingers and tearing up and down the quilt I had just finished and spread out over it, she thought that was the BEST fun! She was going so fast that she bounced right off of it at one point and landed on the floor only to climb right back up as if to say "do that again, Daddy, that was FUN!"

Now that's some cute white trash!

What a beautiful baby!!!

You have a blog? Does it have quilting projects on it and perhaps pictures of your finished quilts? Would you post a link to your blog?

Deb :o)

LOL! She is simply adorable!

Susan--you would really enjoy a furry friend, and I think you are on the right track to think of an adult cat. Our dear Daisy will be 3 in October, and she still thinks she's a kitten. Her antics are cute, but she disturbed me off and on all night last night--running through the house, climbing across the dresser in the night, prowling around in the closet, climbing on the open window sill, etc. I have given her a lot of dirty looks this morning. I can hardly wait until she's "old!"

Also--most people want kittens, so if you adopt a mature cat, you might really be saving a life.
Flamey, you have the cutest trash!

What a little goofball! She is adorable!!!

I'll take her if you're throwing her out.

Tammy

Adorable, especially the one where her tongue is sticking out!

Why did I know this was going to be about little Miss NP? :)

Nosey is just the right name for this bundle of energy. Looks like she's as bright as a penny and going to have long legs.

Glad she's adding so much fun to your household, Flamey.

Ohhh she's so cute.

I see LOL KITTY in Nosey Parker's future.

'Pinball' *Snort*

She is a doll!

Lori

Ok, I weird, but I absolutely LOVE the last shot.
The second picture is great though - it looks like a calendar pic. She's posing so nicely.
Have the other members of the household warmed up to Nosey Parker yet or is that little kitty still in seclusion?

Thanks for posting these!

OK, maybe now I'll get an answer to my question. What's the origin or background for the term "Nosey Parker"? I see it frequently in English mysteries. (It's a *perfect* name for a cat!)

ahhh,soo cute!!

Really cute! Perfect pictures.
She looks like she is a little trouble maker. heehee.

I have just one kitty left, she is about 12 or so. Brandy the pup wants so bad to play with her. I am forever saying "no no kitty kitty" and she stops bothering her.

Trin

She is sooo adorable, what a face!!

LOL! What a stinker. How cute.

Thanks, everybody! And yes, we are totally smitten with the kitten so we won't be tossing her out anytime soon. :)

The term "Nosey Parker" is English, I believe but there is no clear-cut origin for it on the books. I've heard it all my life from my mother, who was born in London, but I'm finding out from friends that it's NOT a common term here and hardly anyone has ever heard of it. A Nosey Parker is someone who is always in other people's business. In a sentence, I would usually hear from Mum "quit being such a Nosey Parker" when I would ask too many questions or when I'd go snooping around in the house when I shouldn't have.

I do have a blog, I am kind of boring so I don't blog a lot, but here's the link... I'm a beginner quilter, I've only done 2 so far, but I'm having fun with it. I haven't posted the new one yet, but I will right now. And more NP photos, too! Of course, you've seen the best ones! lol

Thanks again for admiring the baby! She is just a blast to have around. And she's paying for her big day yesterday by sleeping a lot today!

Here is a link that might be useful: My blog, such as it is...

flamingo -- Thanks for trying on the "Nosey Parker" thing. I can't find any origin or background either! It's so *specific*: It's not Nosey Just Anybody, it's Parker. I was thinking it must have come from something, like calling policemen 'coppers' or 'bobbies' because of their hats and Sir Robert Peel.

Oh well...you got a cute kitty's name out of it.

She sort of looks like you in the 3rd pic. :~)

She's a real cutie and looks like she'll bring lots of joy.

Love the name and she is soooo cute!

Flamey, how interesting about the Nosey Parker name..I had no idea, but I like it so much.

As creative as you are, I just assumed it was something you came up with even tho I wondered how you two came up with this name no longer than you knew this cute little gal. :)

So sweet, your little kitten, just like you. :)

She is the cutest thing. I am so jealous. I hope she doesn't get caught up with her collar. As feisty as she is you never know where she'll end up. She is the prettiest kitten I've seen since my own Silviano.
Donna

OMG isn't she the cutest. LOL Great pics.

I call my cat "Nosey Parker" more often than not. LOLOL Must be the English in us or from when your Mom lived in Canada. Well used here too.

Anne

Oh my gosh, that is the most adorable white trash I've ever seen! LOL I love your sense of humour! When I read the subject line, I said "what the...?" :~)

You are so talented. Do you ever sell your quilts? They are just beautiful, I just love the aprons too.

I'd love a blue jean quilt one day, when I redo my bedroom in a blue jean and lace motif. Hubby is not so keen on it, so I might forgo the lace. I've been thinking about doing this for years, decades really. So, I'll probably never do it anyway. lol But it's fun to think about.

Nosey Parker: Yep, I was called Nosey Parker many times. Very common phrase here in Canada and from my British born Mom.
BJ

Gorgeous! My DD and I start this morning volunteering at the SPCA! They have so many little white cats like yours! I know I'm going to be in trouble with this volunteer job! I've already become attached to the 2 rabbits, one cat and a dauchsaund in a 'wheelchair". The only thing keeping me from adopting any animal is the fact that I have a very unfriendly but loveable orange tabby! He'd be more miserable and I can't do that to him! I'm gonna need self-control! Your kitty is gorgeous!

*pinches zeeterra really hard on the arm* Smarty-alec!

No worries about the collar, it's elastic and she can pull it off over her head or break open the snap if she needs to. Actually, though- the collar is the least of her problems around here. On day 4, we found her playing with a Xanax in her mouth! WE don't take Xanax! Apparently our housesitter does, though, and she dropped one and it could have killed the baby. And then the next day, NP fell thru the stairwell hole and landed 7 feet down on the wood stairs. She was OK, stunned for a few minutes but no injuries, thank goodness. Now I have a net strung up to catch her and she has found out that it's fun to play and nap in her "hammock".

Of course, the net tries to rip my head off when I'm using the stairs, but that's OK. lol I had to do this when the boys were kittens, too, so I'm kind of used to it and now I'm stuck with it until she's full grown and less careless.

She is into EVERYTHING! She's pestering the big boys to pieces and pushing her luck with them, IMO. Slowly, though, they're adjusting to her but not enough to play with her yet. She's relentless. And so funny. She plays on the new quilt like a maniac, it's a riot to watch.

And I've only made 2 quilts so far- both of them I made by joining internet quilt-alongs and had lots of instructions and help and comraderie. I'm getting ready to start another one- a zigzag quilt if anyone wants to join in- it's open to everyone and they are a LOT of fun.

Thanks, everyone, for commenting on the baby. When I saw 40 something responses, I figured it had turned into a whoop somehow! lol But no- just a big bunch of kitten lovers, that's what you guys are!

And volunteering at a shelter- kudos to you, Orie! (The vet told me that they have a hard time finding homes for white kitties. I have no idea why that would be, do you? They're so stinkin' cute and look so clean and bright, I was immediately attracted to them.)

Here is a link that might be useful: ZigZag quilt-along.... starts on the 20th, I think..

I'm here giggling. Whaaat??? I called you cute! But I just went back and looked at the pic and said that you thought she looked puny, whoops! I never thought that.

She's one spoiled kitty, and deservedly so.

I like the net for your acrobat! lol Winston used to jump between our bannister railings too, but he'd land on the carpeted steps. One day he got stuck about half way through 2 balusters. He probably couldn't get his head through there now... Winston has become a very big boy.

Oh! Cute? OK, I'll take it! lol She is cute, I think she takes after her daddy, though, she's so BUSY.

Lyd, this girl would walk on the little one inch strip of rounded off wood on the very edge- no wonder she fell and no wonder she continues to fall (into the net). She's a daredevil, but I was calling her one of The Flying Wallenda's that day. Gosh, I felt awful when she fell. I should have known it would happen and put that net up on day one.

I bet you can't imagine a life without Winston, now!

Now that is one truly adorable little kitty kat !! I just fell in love with her from the first photo !! OMG I just want to pick her up and love her all over. You are sure lucky to have such a pretty little kitty and she is sure lucky to have you for a mom. Gadzooks, but I just love her.

Helen

Laughing at the net/hammock..what we won't do for our 'kids'. lolol Until little Nosey Posey grows up, don't forget to duck! ;)

Flamey, many years ago, when Summer saw what I'd build or attach to window sills, etc., she said, "It sure was nice of the cats to let me live here." Tee hee..but so true! :)

Cutest pics around- and a great caption!
