I suspect you will get used to it soon. I happen to like the new look and it is a lot faster, so overall I'm pleased. You also have to balance the seeming inconvenience of getting used to the new look/features against the pain of migrating to another email system.

I forgot to mention the slowness. I'm glad yours is faster, but mine certainly isn't. Another friend wrote and asked if I noticed mine was slow, as hers is.
It seems to take forever to load. I use Chrome and hubby uses IE and they are both slow loading and clicking on messages.

The other little things I can get used to, over time.
I don't know why the reply can't go to the top of the message though.

I was actually wondering if there was a way to delete the addresses that show up when I'm starting to type. The ones not in my contact list....

I haven't switched yet. I am dredding it. I hate it when they change it. The last time they did, I emailed them and asked them not to. Guess they don't listen to us. Instead, I get a nice email from them thanking me for using Yahoo for eleven years and I will have to update to the new version. That's not thanking me.

Yeah, I'm dreading the switch too.

I had hot mail, and my daughter used gmail. I looked at gmail, and didn't like it.

Went to yahoo instead. I still have a couple of yahoo addresses I us, but I mostly use gmail now.

Can't even remember why I changed.... and yes, it was hard to get used to some things.

Jas, are you sure, you can't set it to reply at the top of your letter?? I had to hunt a bunch, before I manged that on gmail.

I haven't tried the new version yet; I think I was leery I couldn't go back to the old one, which I like just fine. I'm not looking forward to when Yahoo forces it on us.

I've tried it occasionally but still go back to the old one. My version of K-Meleon is what I use for one of the Yahoo accounts and it won't work with the new version apparently, so I don't even get asked.

Jasdip, did you check the settings? The choice for autocomplete and whether the reply is on top or bottom is often a choice in the settings options.

One thing you could try if you want to go back to the old version, is to clean your cache and cookies out of the browser. (Click & Clean extension works well for this.) I'm guessing you have a cookie set to say to use the new one, unless it's different on Yahoo Canada. Whenever I use Chrome for Yahoo, I automatically get the old version.

There's no option to going back to the old Yahoo at all Cynic.
Even under the Help button, one of the FAQ is how to go back to the old version. It clearly states that you can't as they want everyone to use the newer version.

I've noodled around the Mail options but there are very little things you can do. Add a signature, have the message shown in reply, automatically save people you reply to, to your contact list.
These are about it for choices. I wouldn't think yahoo.com and yahoo.ca be much different.

I tried it and went back. I hope they aren't going to force-feed me the new version.

I don't like the new one either, it does have some nice stationary though. I think you can switch back to classic if you want. Its hard to find so you may have to ask at google if you can't find the classic version button.

I don't like it . To me it is not as user friendly as the old. The only option I see, is that there must be a minimum of 50 entries per page. The old could be 25 per page. With 50 on the page, they are very small, and difficult to read.
Also, what happened to the SAVE file that was on the left side? I don't see it now. I had pictures in there, but I can't see how to get them.
If the change were to make it easier, that's a good thing, but IMO, this is not easier.

I kept the old version....I don't like changes....

Last nite was almost the final straw. It was slow loading, as usual and a window popped up to say it was slow and do I want to switch to Basic view to speed it up?

I did and when I clicked on my messages the Reply, Delete etc were all gone! So reading the messages was useless.

The Options, Help and Sign out buttons weren't clickable either.
Good Grief!!! I did read my mail using IE, but that isn't the point. What the heck?

I don't like Gmail and don't want Hotmail, so not sure what to do.

You guys are lucky, that can still use the old version. Under the Help button here one of the FAQ is if the old version can be kept and the answer is no, we can't use that one anymore.

Oh, I cleaned my history, cache and cookies this morning.

I do malware, spyware etc etc regularly.

The yahoo help number is: 866-562-7219. But that's int the U.S. so I'm not sure whether you can call that without charge. I have previously had problems with yahoo and became f-r-u-s-t-r-a-t-e-d because I couldn't figure out how to talk to a live person. The feature that bothered me the most was that the lines would often jump up and down causing me to click on the wrong thing when I didn't anticipate correctly. I must say, the new version doesn't do that. (I use yahoo for a neighborhood chat group--great way to see what's going on in your neighborhood.)

The only think I can guess is that the Canada version is different because when I use Chrome it defaults to the old version. The only other alternative I can think of, if you want to use a different browser for mail, is to use K-meleon. It won't run the new version, at least here, so there's no choice but the old one.

Or try Opera. I still use the old version with Opera too.

I have it too. Some things I like and some I don't.

I can't find where to change the size of the font or the color of the font. I like to use a signature that includes my name embedded in flowers or something else. I can find no way to do that. It will add a signature but only a typed ohne.

Has anyone found a way to do that?
