I have a yahoo account. When I send an email, it has always given the identification name and the email address to the receiver. TODAY, it is putting the word "false" before my email address:(copied from yahoo) This sender is DomainKeys verified"false" .

On the inbox list, instead of giving my identification, it is also just saying false.

Can anyone help...I really am me :^) I would be glad to send someone an email so that they can see what I am talking about ....I am so computer dumb, it is hard for me to explain my problem :^(

Ok, please follow the steps below to delete the word false and retype your name:

1- Login on your yahoo email account
2- Click options (upper right corner of your screen) and select "Switch to Yahoo Mail Classic"
3- Click options again and click "Mail Options"
4- Click on "General" on the left
5- Delete the word "false" and type your name on "From Name"
6- CLick the "Save Changes" icon on the right top.
7- To return to the new Yahoo mail format, click "All-New Mail" on the upper right corner

Hi Jaybird,

You are welcome to send me an email. You can get my addy from the GW email form. I will be in and out today but will watch for it.

My suspicion is that the ISP of the person you are mailing to is giving that message...though I'm not positive...lets see.

It sounds like the history has been deleted. Try typing in and navigating to an address, then next time you start typing in that address it should auto-complete. If that doesn't work, then auto-complete may have been disabled. Which browser do you use?

Thanks for the responses ! For some reason the problem is not present today. Or I should say "problems." The two issues (the clicking sound when depressing a key and the inability to press the same key twice without pausing for a couple seconds) both resolved themselves (proving at least that they must have been related). grandms, It's an HP laptop, so the keyboard is integrated. It was not listed as a separate device in the Printers and Other Hardware section. And the Device Manager (which I also checked) didn't have anything of import either. :-( genes, Yes, she already has that, as well as Avira AV and SAS. I will be running those scans for her soon. I only asked my question before doing so in case anyone might have known of this issue and knew it to have some other obvious cause. Well, for now it's a mystery. But if my scans find anything I'll post an update, just for information's sake. Thanks again !

I'm not sure about adding a photo, but to add a signature, go to the gear that is in the upper right hand corner next to you first name. Click on the gear, then Mail Options, then Signature and add your text (or maybe a photo?).

I think there was another option to pick besides the attach one, if you are talking about the one that put the picture itself in the body of the letter. When they changed the format or upgraded yahoo quite some time ago that seemed to have disappeared. I haven't sent pictures through yahoo for some time but remember using it too, because you didn't have to worry if the person receiving the email would be able to open an attatchment.

Thank you BOTH...I am now back in gear!! I don't know how that happened, but I fixed it with Zep's instructions and then I changed my password for good measure!!
