no doubt the bad guys will be taking full advantage of people's curiosity right now so anything with that topic on it should be avoided especially in emails and links. Real fast way for them to spread the nasty stuff around.

That kept popping up on my FB! If people would just go to FB's "Hoax Slayer" (http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Hoax-Slayer/69502133435) and/or "Sophos" (http://www.facebook.com/#!/SophosSecurity) they would know all about his stuff before it even hits the news! I am still amazed at the people that will blindly click on a link on Facebook..having no idea what it's going to do!

I've ceased to be amazed. People are stupid, greedy and gullible. Crooks know how easy it is to take advantage of these people. Promise them they'll get something for free, they'll open it. Tell them to "send this to everyone you know" and they'll do it (and more). Use a popular topic and they will open the email and attachments, *knowing* it's fake, but they're just too curious to not open it. It's like the people who are unable to let a phone go unanswered. Apparently they think someone will call telling them they're a sweepstakes winner, of a sweepstakes they never entered. Same types who leave valuables out in the open in their cars and cry when someone breaks into the car (or reaches through the open window) and steals the purse, GPS or whatever.

People are definitely entertaining! The thing that surprises me is that more people aren't walking around wearing helmets.
