Jamie, I don't know what this is called, but I think it's what you are talking about. This has a bronze tint to it. I later saw some that had a darker tint and liked it better, but I wasn't going to redo it. I put mine up in February. I really like it.I also saw the tin looking panels. They're pretty too. It was fairly easy to install and it is easy to clean. Someone here mentioned that it shouldn't be used behind a stove because of the heat, but the fire rating for it was fine. The only thing I would do is to pull the stove away from the wall a little bit to turn the self cleaning oven on.

Over the stove. After I took this picture I went back to Lowe's to get enough to carry it to where the raised counters are. It looks a lot better that way.

Yes, it does fine behind the stove, but like I said in the other post, if you have a self cleaning oven it wouldn't be a bad idea to pull the stove out a few inches during the cleaning cycle because of the high temperature involved.

I looked at that when I was painting my kitchen last summer...I think it looks great and still may put it up...I couldn't decide what color I wanted...loved them all!!

I just discovered these panels yesterday and am excited about using them in my kitchen remodel (currently underway!). My question is about the seams. I know about using the corner edge at the corner, and about the j-strip at the end of the run, but I'm curious how the flat seams work. Does the overlap stay flat and look okay? Please share your experience with flat seams. Thanks.

That is beautiful! How to you get it on the walls? Glue? Nails? Is it easy to cut?

The seams overlap just fine if you put them on following directions. If you look at the picture of the panels over the stove they look fine, but after I had these glued to the wall I decided to buy a couple more panels to extend them to where the raised cabinets are. I think it looks much better that way, but on the right hand side of the stove I couldn't fit the last panel beneath the one I already glued down the way it should have been done so I have an obvious seam. People don't notice it unless they inspect it closely, but I do. Someday I will probably take the time to undo it and redo it.

I'm very satisfied with it and it is easy to clean.

You can use either tape or glue to hold them to the wall. I used silicone glue.

Iowa girl. It is very easy to cut and you can mark on the back of them so you will have a line to follow.

mscsippy I love your tin back splash. It goes so nice with you cabinets and counter top. Is you counter top butter rum? That is what I am going with and a natural oak cabinet. I think that this tin is just the thing I am looking for. What color is on you wall. I just sent off for samples.

rednecksmama, I don't know what my counter top is. It was here when we bought the house. The tin I have is Bermuda Bronze. I like it just fine, but a few weeks after I put this up I saw some that was darker. If I hadn't already put this up I would have gone for the darker version. That's just my personal taste.

mscsippy, I went to home depo this evening with my piece of counter top. It is called butter rum formica and then the piece of wood the color of my cabinet. It is oak with a fruitwood stain. I put them up on a counter with the bermuda bronze and the oil rubbed bronze. I think I am going to go with the oil rubbed bronze which is darker. It really makes the counter top stand out. Thanks so much for posting the pic of your kitchen. It has really inspired me.
