Dinner will be pizza.. Kellan will learn how to make pizza dough tonight. It's one of his fav things to eat..so I figure he should learn how easy it is to make. Might be the one "meal" he'll be able to cook some day..(he thinks the microwave was created just for him.) lol The other two boys know their way around the kitchen..he's never been interested.. Weekend...um...Football...Kamren has a double game set out of town..first game day of the season. Dad will join his team in the am at their time slot for the annual car wash fundraiser, before we leave. Sunday..Kamren's teams turn at the car wash..I will not be at either car wash time slot...lol... So the time we are home this weekend..I will be in the garden or in the kitchen..or on the deck..catching more Vitamin D...or all three things is probably closer to the truth.. Oh Patti here's a recipe for you. Cinnamon Cream Biscuits Set the oven to 425F. Combine 2 cups of flour with 1T of brown sugar, 1/2t salt, 2t of baking powder. Mix well, breaking up the brown sugar if needed. Stir in 1 1/2 c of cream with a fork, when mostly together put out on the counter(lightly floured if you have a sticky surface) and knead a few times to incorporate all the dry bits. Pat into a 9" square. Cut into 9 squares. In a small bowl have 1/2c sugar a big T of cinnamon mixed together. Dust both sides of the squares with the cinnamon sugar. Put them into a buttered 9" square pan. Make them fit. Bake at 425F until puffed and baked through, about 12-14 min. Pull out of the oven. Mix 1/2c cream with 1/2c or so powdered sugar and a good glug of vanilla. You'll want a thick but pourable icing, so adjust the sugar as needed. Pour half over the hot biscuits..wait about ten minutes, (it will mostly soak in), then pour over the rest. Scoop out the pieces with a spatuala and eat warm with a fork. Kellan loves the leftovers slighlty rewarmed in the micro. (Lol suprise!)

Glenda, nice way for a restaurant to lose customers, huh? You aren't doing so good this week--that's two days in a row for bad dinners. At least yesterday, you got dinner! Seagrass, your meals are likely more tasty than restaurant meals anyway. But it is nice not to have to cook all the time. Sue, sure hope you feel better. I bought some Alka-Seltzer Plus cold med. in case I feel a cold coming on. It works well for me. Chicken soup always helps, too. Jasdip, I was able to eat three saltines with ham salad on top! Woohoo!! Also ate a mug of noodle soup. Of course, I'd rather have your taco salad :-( Isn't it nice to see the sun shining? Mary, I bet 38 did feel like a heat wave after that 19 you had the other morning. I'm waiting until next week to clean. The house stays pretty clean since I'm not cooking. Shirley, I need to make some beef barley soup. It sounds delicious. Glad you had sunshine--it feels so good in the winter. (Guess it isn't winter yet, though.) Jean, you're doing really well with your low-carb meals. You're a saint to fix your DH mashed potatoes when you can't eat them!! Aw Hellion, I'm waitin' for the day I can eat bacon. Marilyn3444 - thank you so much for the recipe. I'll make it soon. I spent the better part of the day prepping for and traveling to and from the hospital for a CT scan. Very chilly and rainy here. Took some pork and kraut I made last month out of the freezer and heated it in the oven. Pan roasted the rest of the "Tiny Potatoes" I got at a Trader Joe's earlier in the week. We had some crusty rolls and whole grain mustard with it all. I'm very tired. Have to wait until Tuesday to hear what is causing this pain. It's hard not to worry.
