Two skirts that I made...pics

I made these last night. One of our friends needed me to make two of his button-up shirts into short-sleeved shirts so after doing that I had 4 sleeve pieces. I thought that they would make really cute skirts for Evelyn so I buttoned and sewed them together and I thought that they turned out decently. I'm not the most excellent seamstress, but I do okay. :)

If you didn't tell us that it was shirt sleeves I would have never guessed. You did a good job and Evelyn looks cute in it on her potty, lol.

Unfortunately, I doubt many will see your post in this obscure photo sub-forum. Also, I am a little uncertain about some wording in your post, but I think I understand the general idea. Trees can often cover over their wounds if they are growing vigorously and are in good health. You mentioned that your tree has been "pruned to be very sparse". That sounds like you are making it much harder for the tree to successfully recover. Starving the tree of food by limiting it's foliage and forcing it to overcome pruning wounds would certainly present obstacles to the tree's recovery. It is unlikely that removing a section of trunk would be the way to go. A bridge graft might help, but is probably not worth the trouble. Again, what you need to do is to increase the tree's vigor, and the best way to do that might be to leave it alone for a while! And, yes, the plaster cast is a crazy (bad) idea.

Because of our family's Japanese roots and connections, we did not seriously consider any brands of "shower" toilet seats other than Toto and Inax. (Washlet is a registered trademark of Toto, so any non-Toto seat cannot be a Washlet.) Inax invented the category of toilet seats that perform, and in Japan, Inax and Toto vie for dominance in that category the way that Chevy and Ford fight over the pick-up market in the United States. The role that second-tier players like Dodge and Toyota and Nissan play in the pick-up wars here is taken by Toshiba and Panasonic in the toilet seat wars in Japan, No other players come close. Do you know who makes the Bio Bidet? I don't. Apparently, it is an American brand, applied to a seat made in Asia. Toto seats fit Inax toilets and Inax seats fit Toto toilets. You can mix and match with confidence. We prefer the two-wand design of the Inax seats to the one-wand design of the Toto seats.

I recently went through this too and I ditched the skirt. Used to like them. My tastes have changed completely over time. When I was selling my house last year and staging the rooms to look fresh and contemporary to appeal to young buyers, I ended up loving the look myself!! Goodbye skirts! When I was choosing a new sofa at the furniture store, the salesperson and I were looking for a sofa that kinda-sorta complemented my existing modern and recent chair purchase. When we found one, she was careful to choose a leg finish that matched my existing chair. I may not have thought too much about it. I just went and looked at the height of the legs. The sofa legs are barely visible...just a couple of inches at best. The chair legs are more exposed and are about 5 inches high. But all legs are espresso and I think that works well.

I'm hoping I get to see him with it too...I don't know if he will get to be with us on Christmas or maybe a day or so later. He might be with his grandparents (mommy's parents) that day...but we celebrate later in the day...So I'm hoping my grandson will bring him over... Great grammas kind of take second place...and I understand that...I got to be grandma to his daddy...lol They can only stretch out so far. So if I get to see him , you can be sure I have a picture.

What a creative and clever idea, Danielle! Evelyn is simply adorable in her new skirt! I like them both a lot and I think you did a great job. I hope she gets a lot of use out of them before she outgrows 'em!
