I am tired so did not fix myself very much. I have been mopping. Supper for me was a chicken patty on a bun with lettuce and tomato and Miracle Whip. Iced tea to drink and a peach.

Hot here, I took chili out of the freezer for hubby & I had a cube steak.
Not a good day today as this would have been my oldest daughter's 47th birthday. Can't believe it has been 1 1/2 years since God took her to a better place, we know she now does not have to suffer & is at peace.

Cooked some chicken in the morning, and made chicken salad...had corn on the cob with it. Second day in the mid 90's...so not much interest in cooking or eating.

Played golf today. It was hot, hot, hot. We had a luncheon meeting following golf. I was going to make taco salad but I'm tired. I'll make DH a chicken salad sandwich.

Still using up what's around the house, so I am making boneless (vegetarian) buffalo bites, loaded mashed potatoes, and the last little bit of frozen corn.

It looks like a lot of chicken is being served tonite. :-)

I took a teeny chicken out of the freezer to make 40 cloves garlic.
The weather has been horribly hot and is continuing to be so for the rest of the week. So I browned it in my large deep skillet and put the garlic, potatoes and carrots around it and simmered it on the stove top. It turned out great. I always make it in the oven.

Watermelon and cantaloupe for dessert whenever we want to eat it.

Barbecued chicken from Sunday that I shredded, then sauteed sweet red peppers and onions, added the chicken and a bit of extra barbecue sauce, and served over brown rice. (I love my rice cooker!) Very good!

I have not felt very good so tonight either ham sandwiches or hot dogs will have to do. Hubby might have the left over beans and ham from last night.

Stuffed mushrooms tonight......I tend to ad lib my stuffings for them; tonight it was pork sausage, seasoned bread crumbs, chopped mushroom stems, and a bit of cream of mushroom soup to bind it together. Very good. Now I'm going to have a slice of watermelon for dessert.

It must be a chicken kind of night. Our dinner wasn't all that good except for the potato salad. Won't be going back there!! I think I'll be going to bed really soon. So tired!!

The best deals for delivery pizza in my area are on Tuesday, so tonight I took advantage of one of those deals. I've just gotten the house back to normal after having house guests for ten days and I didn't feel like cooking.

We had quite a bit of the fresh shrimp left over from the Lowcountry stew so I'll be making shrimp burgers. OMG is all I can say about how good shrimp burgers are. Getting ready to start them now. :-)

We had Cobb salads from Chick- fil-a, first time, they were quite yummy! Had some much needed rain, huge thunder. Was very thankful for it.

I've been canning figs today, so dinner was simple. Quiche, Kale, yellow squash and sliced tomatoes.
