Patti, lunch and dinner sound good. I don't make egg salad very often because my husband doesn't like it. I recently learned he likes my deviled eggs, so I am thinking of trying to make the egg salad more like the deviled eggs and see if he likes that.

Tonight, my husband is going for a run, which means he eats a pb&j before, and then we have a light, late dinner. I'm thinking of making spaghetti and toasting up some of the day old sour dough french bread.

The heat is on! We're in a dry spell, and on my sunny back deck temp is 108. Water aerobics this morning was great!

Hartleys Down Home Cooking, for field peas with chopped raw onions, fried chicken breast and a corn muffin. T'was good.

Just a piece of chicken and some potato salad. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, Patti.

I had 3 peppers that needed to be used up, some celery, broccoli and of course carrots and onions. Turned it into a stir-fry with some rice and sausage.

I had a tuna salad sandwich and a cup of my white chili. Was going to have some cantaloupe but was too full.

Today was golf. I played well enough to enjoy myself, but not spectacular. Ran some errands afterwards. Bought some new towels for my soon to be new bathroom. (Trying to spread the cost out so DH doesn't have a heart attack.)

I'm making blackened catfish with ratatouille and rice pilaf for dinner tonight.

Cataract surgery was not so good. Went back to the eye Dr today after a night of HELL. I have never had a headache so bad. She said the pressure in my eye was 45 & they want to see pressure at 20 or below. They had to make a small cut in the eye to relieve the pressure. She told me sometimes this happens with the surgery. When I left the office it went down to 11 which was very good. I now have 2 different drops to put in & have to go back in 2 days. This is not what I need right now.

Dinner was just hot dogs, nothing special.

Alice, spaghetti will taste so good after a long run. Carb up, as they say. I'd be happy with the PBJ!

Glenda, our screened porch is on the west side of the house and catches that afternoon sun, so I know what you mean about hot! If I'd noticed, I would've found a house with a porch on the east side! Lunch sounds delish, as usual.

Pam, I've been thinking about potato salad. Sure sounds good, especially with cold chicken.

Jasdip, stir-fry is so good and so good for you. We need to eat more of it when this mouth clears up. Enjoy!

Shirley, I need to make tuna salad. Harry would like it and it's good protein.

Georgysmom, sure do have to spread those purchases around. Harry wouldn't care probably, but it's better safe than sorry. Nice dinner at your house, but then, it always is.

Mary, sorry you had a bad time. Hope you're feeling better now. Harry had 3 different drops when he had his cataract surgeries. One was an antibiotic and I don't remember the other two. Took forever to use up those little vials, though. He wasn't able to do it himself--got more on his face than in his eyes :-) You'll be fine--just a little setback. I think you'll be very happy you had it done. Chin up, GF!

Walleye, roasted new red potatoes, and left-over cauliflower. That cauliflower just won't disappear if I don't eat it.....quite a disappointment with that recipe.

well since i'm having a colon-op re-done, had hot dogs and mac & cheese...figure the calories won't stand a chance!

We had baked flounder in a white wine and lemon sauce, sauteed kale, and twice baked potato. The kale was my favorite part, it was so darned flavorful.
