I visit a forum on scrapbooking and love it. It could be against the rules to post them here, but thought it would be fun to see of you are all KTers only or if you go to other sites also.

I come from the Blue Birding, Bird Watching, Wildlife Garden, Ponds,Pets, and sometimes the Health and Caretakers forums!

That is true when you look at it from the first post and I was going to let it go with my first post until she came back with an attitude, blaming someone else for her actions and changing her story to a native story to get herself off the hook. That is when her dumbass honesty went right out the door. Then the others pile on. Glad C3D ended it with the truth about euthanasia. I'm with you Z-Chick on the instant brain death method. She really would have faired better if all that 'support' didn't show up to aggrevate the situation. Who am I to judge her - nobody. I've cleanly killed plenty of animals and that IS hypocritical from a death standpoint. I am sorry but I could not let it pass because she was killing a hapless creature and looking for congratulations. She faired FAR BETTER than the frog and we all know she will do the same thing again - she said so directly. She will control her pond against nature. Wait until the first snake shows up, or raccoon, or heron...... If anything - other posters will learn not to be such dumbasses but I don't believe it will stop them from posting to learn. This person was not posting to learn. I am done with it (I hope) unless another dumbass pops up (and then this dumbass will jump right back into the thick of it). Not much more I can say to the original OP however - as I shredded her actions to the maximum already (good, bad or ugly as it may have been). The 'plant boy bring it' was hysterical BTW. Good thing you said that because that post hit about 3 major nerves for me and I did hold back. Anyway - who wants to lay down money that thread is not done:-)

I think you've misunderstood my comment. My observation was that while many of the contributors over there are generous with their assistance, others aren't. I realize people ask dumb questions, I do that too, but it's not an occasion to rip someone with sarcasm or play cat and mouse. When having HVAC problems, homeowners feel helpless and vulnerable to being taken advantage of. And it's true, we all know people and situations where the homeowner got had. Don't you? Getting such work done is essential but the cost is often unaffordable. Whatever percentage of the HVAC contractors are scoundrels is too high, and it colors the public's view of the industry. People distrust them and distrust the suggestions they offer. Do you agree or disagree with that? As for my name, it's a cartoon character, see link below. Dudley Do-right is my favorite from that program, but I didn't want to have the name of either Dudley or Do-Right. I regret the similarity to 'snide', it's not intended. Like blfenton, I originally came to GW when I was planning a kitchen remodel. Since it was a fairly comprehensive, major DIY effort I also frequented the electrical forum, the plumbing forum, the appliances forum, and the bath forum (for tile info), as well a as couple of non-GW external forums for plumbing and tile info. Jasdip is right that there are some astoundingly expensive remodels in the kitchen forum, but there are also are more modest budget remodels and even some low-budget total makeovers. To me the biggest benefit of the kitchen forum is the body of kitchen design knowledge there. Often people will post a design that they paid a professional kitchen designer to devise and ask for comments. The kitchen forum people will critique and tweak the design pointing out issues and concerns and ways in which the design could function better, and sometimes a poster will completely redraw the design, producing something better than the professional kitchen designer came up with. After "finishing" the kitchen remodel I continued to hang out there to "pay it forward" with the wisdom I had gained, but also started frequenting the cooking forum, and eventually also found the kitchen table. Unfortunately Yes!! Mostly 123stitch.com,as i'm a cross stitcher.On your/our feet,a board for those of us that have gone through or are going thru Total Knee Replacement.Some sewing forums,as the one here is so slow,but i still check it every day,and some gardening forums.Some days i spend waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too much time on this computor.

Are you talking about GardenWeb? I can't imagine that it's against the rules to post about GW forums, and I haven't heard of any rule that says we can't mention others. (Although the rule could exist.)

On GardenWeb this time of year I'm often at Roses and Antique Roses, and sometimes at Container Gardening, Tomatoes, and Vegetable Gardening. In May you can always find me on the Iris Forum.

Throughout the year I sometimes drop in at Organizing the Home, Antiques & Collectibles, Old Houses, Pets, Grieving, and Decorative Painting. I have a pet problem right now, so I've been at Pets a lot. When I was remodeling I was always at Kitchens, Appliances, and Home Decoration.

Outside of GardenWeb, I was practically living at a mattress forum after going through several mattresses very quickly. I learned a lot and am happy with my current mattress, so I haven't been back there in quite a while.

I visit knittinghelp.com and healthboards.com, and lots of other GW forums.

It's funny the way I've worked through the forums depending on what's going on in my life. Started on roses, then my DS was getting married, so I visited Weddings a lot, then Grieving when my mom died. I've frequented many of the forums over the years as my life has changed.

I started at kitchens when I was doing a remodel, then to ponds when I was building a new koi pond, sometimes to bee keeping since we have a hive,love the pet one since I have cats, but mostly at hot Topics because I am a political junkie.

I visit a Yuku forum where some former KTers post, as well as Garden Country that I've been using for about 10 years. I also go to On Our Feet which I found before my TKR in '99 - looks like my other knee will need replacing sometime this year. I also pop in and out of several other Garden Web sites.

I rarely visit any other forums.

Each day when I get on the computer I go to CompHelp first. I read any new questions that apply to my pc, or that I think might. That forum has saved my sanity several times since I got my first computer.

Then I come to the KT, for "food, fun and fellowship". Food being all the great recipes, fun is reading about all the crazy antics that some KTers tell about, and fellowship because there is a good sense of unity here.

I have read some at Antiques and Collectibles, but I posted a question there recently and got short shrift, so don't feel inclined to go back.

All things considered Gardenweb forums are the best I know of.

Rarely. But I had fun blogging on vacation so I visit my own forum... my Women Over 50 blog.

The moderator is a little moody, but we've managed to get along fine so far.

I visit a lot of GW forums about plants I am growing like Vegetable, Tomato, Roses, Dahlias, Tropical, CA Gardening. I also go to other Home forums like Kitchen, Cleaning Tips, Cooking, Recipes, Pets, Home Decoration.

The Meeting House...post there a lot, and various GW and THS forums, altho I seldom post on them. I used to belong to a pond forum but a few people make me so mad that I would stay mad all day, so I don't even read them any more.
