Coconut Shrimp...we're going over to some friends house for dinner! We're bringing a 4 bean salad along with 2 dipping sauces for the shrimp.

did the pork roast in the crock pot today. Sprinkled it with dry onion soup and a bit of chopped onion I had. It started to dry out, so I poured some beer over it. Shredded it, took a portion out for myself to pour bbq sauce on it, and we had it on hamb. buns with left over potato salad from Thursday.

Make that two! Didn't know what I wanted in this heat.

The perfect cool dinner, and that looks delicious. Plus I've got all the fixings.

We're having bbq sandwiches with baked beans & potato salad. We never had any key lime pie last night, so maybe a slice of that too. It's been nice the last few days to just pull things out of the fridge & heat. I needed a break from meal planning & cooking. Glenda, I love a blt! I can see why you're a happy camper.

Your dinner looks good. I made macaroni salad today & we had that with chicken breast that I breaded with panco bread crumbs & then fried.
It is still raining here in TN, we already have had 7" & it is not stopping till sometime tomorrow.

I love BLTs on a hot day.

I made some hamburgers, adding lentils to the beef mixture. They fell apart while cooking so hubby called them Loose-meat burgers.We had more of the orzo salad that I made the other day. It gets better the more it sits. I also bought some marinated artichoke hearts to throw in it, and that was a good addition!

Made some watermelon/feta salad for dessert. We are happy campers for sure.

mary, it's stopped raining for NOW, but way it looks outside, it's gonna any minute. Yummo, fried chicken breast in panko crumbs.

DH didn't want anything to eat last night. Could it be that he cooked up a little steak in the late afternoon for a little snack? He's getting his hamburger tonight. I think I'll just make a half sandwich with some turkey breast I picked up at Trader Joe's today.

georgysmom, lol at your dh and his afternoon snack :o) Wish we had a Trader Joe's, but do have Fresh Market and Whole Foods.

sephia, I asked them how much bacon they put on their blt, and she said they don't count, just load the sandwich up with it. Man standing behind me, said I will be happy with the blt, as he ordered his. It's a family run business.

We had a nice sirloin and potato done on the grill and a salad with homegrown lettuce. Today I bought a watermelon because so many of you mention it. Of course, I haven't even cut into it yet!

We are having chicken/green chile enchilada casserole, Mexican rice and pinto beans....and a salad made with lettuce from the garden.
We will soon be having home grown tomatoes and lemon cucumbers.

I took a friend to Bonefish for her birthday and we shared coconut shrimp and then each had Lily's chicken. We each brought home doggie bags. Since it was her birthday the waiter brought us a large bowl of ice cream with brownie pieces, macadamia nuts and lots of real whipped cream. MMMM good.

satine, we have a Bonefish here, but never been. Know georgysmom, enjoys their mussels. Who wouldn't love ice cream with brownie pieces, macadamia nuts. Double mmmmmm!

I had veal marsala with a side of spaghetti, we went to Carrabas or whatever it is. I'm sure full and brought half of it home with me.
Got a few good bargains at Steinmart sale with the 40%off coupon. I printed out several and shared them. I made some people happy.

Lemon cucumbers are round and yellow at maturity.....mild flavor and easy to grow.
