i'm so happy you're succeeding! i'm one of those weird people who can smell a cigarett a mile away, and have gotten choked up...so THANK YOU!

I read part of the article in today's paper about the FDA and it's problems with the E cig. I don't understand the problem. The patches and the gum both contain nicotine, so why not the e-cig? I'm so glad it's working for you!

I got mine at the mall from "Smoking Everywhere" but it was pricey...since then I've found so many on-line that are WAY cheaper.And just as good or better.Do a search on electronic cigarette or there is a forum for them that gives reviews of the different ones and where to get them.It's called e-cigarette forum.com.Lots of info there on them and the accessories.
Wanda's husband got his from Smoke Stik.I wanted mine right away,that's why I went to the mall and paid their ridiculous price! LOL! I didn't want to wait for the mail.I have two more coming for Larry(called e-health cigarette) in the mail,I paid 10 apiece for them.We'll see how good they are when they get here.Might be no good since they are so cheap. I have 3 from Smoking Everywhere...they gave us a deal(still expensive though) since we bought before from them.Larry uses one of mine right now until his get here.Should be this week sometime.

I bought an e cig last week and I loved it! I was smoking so much less than I usually do. However, it died on me after one week so I'm back to smoking while I fight with the company over sending me a replacement!

I'm glad it's working for you. DH is still smoking, though not as much as before. I hope he will be able to quit...someday. Keep up the good work!!

GOOD for YOU! Quitting smoking is HARD. I know! I've done it several times LOL! I'm a non-smoker right now and have been for hmmmm 10 years.

One suggestion if it helps, is Vitamin B - Stress formula. I found it really helped me. Vit B is what is given to recovering addicts (alcohol and drugs and nicotine is a drug).
Anyway lot's of info on the internet about it.

Congratulations CR!!! My friends husband is BACK in the hospital. He mentioned the e-cigarette to his Dr. and HE didn't like the idea! Probably because you don't have to have a prescription! I didn't know they had the nicotine free kind! Thanks!

Glad to hear you are doing great with the 'not smoking'! It's tough, I know... I had a very rough time quitting.

Thanks everyone! I still get the urge for a real smoke....but I just get the little faker out and puff on him...HARD! Make him give me LOTS of smoke(Vapor)! LOL! Larry gave in one day comng home from work...he says he didn't but my sniffer is better than it used to be and he reeked of smoke.Well...maybe reek is the wrong word because I loved how he smelled.I love to smell cigs.I was jealous because he cheated and I didn't! LOL!
Mike...where did you get yours? That's one reason I'm glad I bought mine at the mall...1 yr warrnaty and they replace the atomisers or any other part that goes bad.I've had 2 atomisers replaced so far.But all the e-cig places say the attys go about once a month or so.So to keep an extra on hand.I have 3 cigs,so always have an extra.

You go girl...I know it is a hard addiction to give up. But it will be all worth while if you get to have the surgery you want. Just keep that end result you want in mind.

Congrats, CR, you go girl! And congrats to Mike as well, even if he did stumble. It's not easy, Andy and I stopped completely November 2007. Yow....there are still times.....but we don't.

I am so glad for you! I quit a year ago last June. I wasn't planning on quitting it just so happen that I was in the hospital for over a month last year, and couldn't smoke.(no smoking policy) When I came home my daughter nor my husband wouldn't go and buy me any and I was not allowed to drive, so I quit.

I still have the craving once in awhile, especially if I see someone with a cigarette. I wish that would go away, but it seems like it never does. But, that craving only last for a few minutes or so and I forget about it. (Until the next time)

Congrats! You're doing wonderfull!

DH is on day 112. He is still getting those little pings hitting him but he's still fighting it. I'm so proud and know that he can make it life-long.

I, on the other hand, made it 3 days. LOL
Once I quit for 2 years and fought it everyday. Finally I got tired of fighting. It took only 1 cigarette and within a weeks time, I was smoking as much as before I quit. The day will come when I'll be ready again.

Way to go!!! You'll make it! And so will Larry. I am thinking about giving this e-cigarette kit to one of my sons as a Christmas gift. He is the only one of my kids who smokes, and he has tried unsuccessfully before to quit. Thank you, Wanda, for that link to the site. I had never heard of these cigs before CR's posts. Glenda, is that three cigarettes or three packs a day? LOL. I'm guessing three cigarettes!

Yes the difference in smell is amazing...El Paso stinks! LOL! I couldn't have done it without my little faker....I still get the "feel" of smoking and the taste (sort of),but with these I can even smoke in my office.There's no smoke,no flame,no smell...it's wonderful.I haven't had to empty dirty ashtrays in a long time! LOL! Veta...check around for prices there are lots that are much cheaper than mine and the one Wandas DH got that are just as good.I think prices are getting competitive on them now.So many different brands now that they are fighting for the business.Look up Electronic cigarette on Google and you'll be amazed at all the different ones now.

Good for you chubby rat! I have been smoke free over a year and a half and get so excited when I hear someone else going smoke-free! Moonie 57 have you ever considered NOT counting the days? To me it seemed like counting calories, or pounds and just waiting to fall off the diet wagon. I wouldn't even know that it's a year and a half for me but I co-incidentally quit the day before Christmas Eve so it does make a handy point of reference. If I didn't know, I would have thought years because it seems like years now. Chantix died it effortlessly for me in twelve days. I only had a few cravings afterwards and they went away very quickly. I just tell myself, You don't do that anymore. Because if I did, I think I'd be right back at a pack a day where I left off. And that disgusts me to no end; I love where I am now.

Congrats on keeping it going..I know how hard it can be but you are very much on the other side of the addiction now!
I just got my "anniversary stats" from quit net...it amazes me how much I haven't smoked. And ...unfortunately I never did put that smoking money away...sure wish I had!
