Hope you were able to get the Wheels song. Does he like Elmo? My grandson loves Elmo's Song.

These kids are children of the 21st Century, aren't they? My kids always wanted my car keys to play with. My grandson wants the TV remote and the cell phones. LOL!

Lilypad, I can get a visual on it now, the fierce competition if those plants were offered for sale. And I would want to be right in the middle of it. My first exposure to a violet show was by happenstance. The Seattle AV club had a show at a local shopping mall. If the plant was for sale after the show, a colored dot was put on its card. I was apparently one of the few that asked about what the dot meant. Most of the plants were not spoken for, and I think I purchased 20-22, hard to remember. Average price was 5-6.00, and they couldn't be picked up til the show was over. Yeehaw! Barbara

I finally watched part of the video. TBH I am not much for youtube/videos. The house is lovely but a bit more "stuff" than I would like. I found her voice pleasant but I do agree the cup was a bit distracting. Not wearing shoes didn't bother me a bit, as I never have shoes on in the house. It just made her comfortable to me. Yes, cozy and casual, which is what I like. Two things stood out for me - I have a wicker chair in the basement that came from my dad's family. It probably needs to be painted (which is fine as the dark green really doesn't go in our home), but honestly, I can't think of anywhere I can use it! I need to find a place. I have very little from my dad's family. The other item is the mantel clock, which I also have, and is also from my dad's family! I can't find it!!! I had it in a closet and several months ago noticed it wasn't there. I've obviously stored it somewhere. I have a cedar chest and a leather trunk that I need to see if it might be there. I should be using it.

I'm so jealous that you got to go on an English garden tour! That's definitely on my life goal list. And the Chelsea flower show! I love gardens that provide a sense of enclosure and to me English gardens do that so well. The great thing about all those formal hedges is that they define the space, make it private and special, and provide a beautiful backdrop to the roses. The same can be achieved with trellis walls and climbers around the perimeter of the garden. Or even just trellises--paint them a darker grey and it'll be amazing. You can still create gaps or windows to borrow scenery from outside the garden. Are there any companion plants that are really unpalatable? Maybe some herbs? I love creeping rosemary in front of my roses--it's carefree, blooms a ton, and has a beautiful cascading form. I'm trying lavender too but it might get too big. The internet tells me allium and geraniums may repel ground squirrels. There are so many great alliums out there and many are dirt cheap--my favorite source is John Scheepers nursery. Geranium 'Roxanne' is super popular in the UK and catching on here, but there are others as well. I'd love pictures as you progress!

It will let me see the page but when I click on the one I want it will not fill in the black box. Tried on my hubby's computer and my IPad2 and neither would work.

Grandson loves lots of the videos on there. Loves Elmo's Ducks and all the Wheels On the Bus ones. Try the Phonics songs by Barbara Milne. We used them in our kindergarten classes and my DGS is now picking up the letter sounds at the age of 2.

Hope to figure out the problem soon. He was quite upset that it wouldn't work.

I had that problem (watching You Tube videos) when I was using Safari. I had to change to Google Chrome, and then I didn't have the problem any more.

Boston, do it the old-fashioned way: grandma sings!

You Tube is working normally for me today.

Sometimes the recording company blacks out newer videos because of copyright, although I can't imagine it would be the case with The Wheels On The Bus.

Hope you figure it out soon.

Socks - believe me, we do sing all day long! He doesn't watch much TV - only one episode of Sesame Street a day at home and I let him watch Micky Mouse Clubhouse here.

I have alot of my stuff from teaching, CD's, manipulatives, books, etc. We do a little of everything each day as well as play outside. It's so hot here now that I can't take more than a half hour in the morning and in the afternoon without having to come in and shower each time! Then there are our almost daily thunderstorms like we are having now.
