Are you enjoying another really hot day like we are here in central Indiana? 92 right now according to my computer. I am glad Amber and I got an early start for our grocery shopping. Not too many bargains at the grocery. I did get some really tasty nectarines for $.77 a pound. Cabbage was $.39 a pound, sweet cherries at $2.99 a pound. They must have been out of the green beans I had wanted for $.88 a pound as I looked all over for them. I am sure getting hungry for some fresh cooked ones. We had a nice lunch from Wendy's. We each had the new salad with blueberries and strawberries topped with almonds and raspberry vinaigrette. I had a big unsweetened iced tea and it was really good. Amber tried out the new berry frosty and she said it was good. I for one am glad I am back home and things put up. Amber carried in all of my groceries and I do appreciate that. Things are very dusty. I talked to my soon and he worked 5 hours out in this heat. He said he took out a stump and he had a big dust cloud all around him and he had mud dripping down all over himself. I sure feel for all those that have to work in weather like we are having. Anyone care to share what they are doing today?

Took the car to the shop to get the radiator replaced. Went to the grocery store, picked up sandwiches from Honey Baked Ham for lunch.

I feel very sorry for those workers who work outside in the heat--construction, roofers especially. It's brutal.

Much cooler today. Temp 90, but cool wind from the north and dry. very high humitity yesterday.
Also very windy
Lots of people getting ready to go camping and/or to the lakes.

Time traveler? Sept 9....lol It's cold! 41 f outside. Furnace won't come on. It had a blown fuse. Ran to HD. But, Peeka is still freezing. DH threw a blanket over him so he could sleep.

Hope you enjoyed lasagna and your book! . Cold and rainy here. So glad I got the seedlings (cold lovers) in the ground before the rain hit. I took down the umbrella so it wouldn't blow over last night. I told my brother not to come as I won't be working on the Miata for awhile. I've even suspended insurance on it. There's just too much going on to fiddle with it. It's a want not a need. . Today, I'll learn how much I can push the Nashville bus system times. Before, my son and I thought there were two buses and two buses only to get us home. That is, if we missed them, there was no way home. And ultimately, we have to make it to the train station via the train or a different bus to meet one of those two buses in order to make it to our house in our suburbs, but only if we didn't start out on the suburb bus. Now I know there are several different ways, and have three times (or more, if I leave earlier) to leave the bus depot. . I'll experiment with leaving later today. I left a half hour earlier than needed yesterday, knowing Nashville traffic, to see how much time cushion I had. I had an extra half hour at the depot. If I leave at the later time (20 minutes), will traffic be so much more that I almost miss or do miss the bus that'll get me home? If I do miss it, I have two more chances. We'll see. Kinda nervous about that. If all else fails, I can sit somewhere and let my son come get me in the car after marching band practice. I am happy for the learning experience, and even more glad that I don't have to depend on the bus, just have it as a backup. . Is it time for chocolate yet?

It's raining. Kinda hard at times. I am supposed to have a cross country cyclist show today... but now he will hang out where he is for the day. Tomorrow should be fun. First the insulation blowing happens, then I got to clean up and put everything back where it belongs, and finally the cyclist may show, and I pick Charlotte up at the airport. Meanwhile I should get everything off and away from the outside walls, but am procrastinating. LOL Moni

woodrose, the Kentucky Governor's cup (and the Tennessee Governor's cup) is always awarded at Contest of Champions, at MTSU. That's the "state" I was talking about. I assume there are other contests and awards given. mama, there's a white supremacist rally that has descended on Shelbyville/Murfreesboro this weekend. 1) they're erring on the side of caution for the sake of the children, and 2) I THINK they want the MTSU campus police to help out since activities on the square are in such close proximity to the campus.

86 and windy here this afternoon.....this morning we had a quick little shower while the sun was shining! It's still very humid, though, so not comfortable yet.

Went out to lunch and stopped at the grocery store. I was feeling guilty about the lunch thing so I stopped at a chinese restaurant to pick up some chinese for DH. When I went to put it in the refrigerator, there was a bag of chinese food already in there! He did the same thing when he was out. It was only 88 when I was out but it was like an oven out there. Very, very humid.

I rode up to my daughters, to get my mail. Got 38 miles in. Glad I left before 7:00 AM, cause when I got back it was 95 degrees.

After I showered and got cleaned up I ran the rest of the errands. Sure wish, those places would have been open before 10:00 AM.

Had a nice lunch with Andy, and just finished reading my mail and need to do some paper work.

Tomorrow, back to work at Home Depot.

Grant was over all morning. He rode his bike over to the park then was so hot when we got home he went swimming. It's really hot here today so I just sat on the deck in the shade with my Ipad. I swear he would stay in the pool all day. He really does love it, but what kid doesn't.
Don't really have anything planned for the afternoon.

I've stayed home all day. The tech from Direct tv was supposed to be here between 12:00-4:00. He was running late and said he would be here at 5:00. So I'm waiting on him.

I went walking with my friend this morning for an hour. It was so hot and sticky when we left the mall at 9. At 1 I had a perm and a hair cut so I feel like a human being again.

Right now my new dryer is being installed so I will be doing laundry the rest of the afternoon.

I am staying indoors where it is cool. This evening I am watching Finn. He and I are going to a music jam at church that had been scheduled for the patio but was moved indoors where we are air conditioned. He is only 9 months old but he loves music, which is good, since he will be taking piano lessons when he is old enough.

I had to work and was hot and cold off and on all day, between the freezing cold air conditioning and hot flashes I didn't know what I wanted to do-lol. It was very hot and humid when I walked out tonight, though. Busy day today, two more to go.

I was at the office until after 7:30 pm. The heat was like a furnace when I stepped outside. The contractors ripped out the sidewalk yesterday and dumped the cement in the dumpster today. I don't know how they can stand the heat!

My boss wanted to give me Friday off, but I have too much work to do. If I skip a day, there will just be more work next week. I love my job, but it is demanding. I'm just glad for the AC!
