A question about one of Nora Roberts books

I was searching for some new books to read on my IPAD last night and came across a book by NR that came out in Oct. 2011. The title is Unfinished Business. From the description, I can't recall reading it but I usually keep up with her new books so I am puzzled how it slipped by me.

Is it part of a series? I haven't gotten into her wedding series or the ones set in Ireland.

Can someone give me a few more details about the story line, like what line of work she was in (Vanessa), or maybe a little bit more about Brady so it will jar my memory. Even the cover doesn't look familiar. At the time, I wasn't using my IPAD to read as much so I probably would have been holding "the real thing" and would see it each time.

Unfinished Business was a Silhouette Intimate Moments title first published in 1992 and reprinted in 2011. It was a stand-alone, not part of a series. I've provided a link to a preview below.

Thank you for the preview. I don't recall reading it but I did find out that it was originally written earlier. I'll probably order it for my IPAD and read it while on the treadmill - just to pass the time. Thanks again.

I didn't read the, I think, two westerns by Robert B. Parker, nor the follow-up one you mentioned. However, I have read all of Parker's other books as well as those written by other authors after his death. I think those authors, Ace Atkins and Michael Brandman, have done a very nice job of capturing Parker's style of writing. What they haven't done, at least as of now, is move either character forward. Instead, they've just added what I will call episodes to the characters as those characters existed at the time of Parker's death. As for the new trend of a living author adding his name and some (or no) amount of collaboration to a series, I withhold judgment until I read the book. One of my favorite storytellers, Clive Cussler, has been doing this for years and, so far, I've enjoyed the collaborational series just as much as the original. I think Cussler writes rather formulaically anyway, so that probably makes it easier to make a collaboration successful. This post was edited by Fun2BHere on Thu, Feb 27, 14 at 17:21

Happy to help. I get very frustrated at all of the re-issues of previously published books. It's nice that they are adding to the Ebook choices, but I wish they would clearly state the original pub. date.
