Oh, no salad for me for lunch today ....I probably will need to have that for supper, tho, to make up for lunch.

A friend and I are meeting with a retired friend we haven't seen in several months and are going to First Watch, a breakfast-all-day place. I've been thinking about a belgian waffle all morning! LOL!

I threw together a small amt. of ham salad to go with crackers for lunch. Then one appt was cancelled so I'll be home at lunchtime.....still going to have the ham salad :-P

Mexican style tacos. Got the recipe from an authentic style restaurant. Not tex-mex today, although I love tex-mex. Habanero peppers, strips of steak, pork, onions, plus cilantro, mexican cheese, more onions, goat cheese, Limes, tomatoes, and mexican corn tortillas are being used today in recipe, I may be leaving out something, I haven't got the recipe right here beside me. We both love Hot Hot Hot!! Someway you crave the hot peppers... DH is coming home for lunch and he will be pleasantly surprised.
Then I made my own salsa, but this wasnt from restaurant.

6 green tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- 2 Habaneros,finely chopped
- 6 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- l small sweet onion, finely chopped
mix together.

Then I make guacomole
Then we both chomp down...teehee!!

Spinach salad with beets, Feta, Sunflower seeds and garbanzos.

Been on a spinach salad kick myself the past 10 days or so. Had one or two a day with homemade sweet and sour bacon dressing for a week. Got tired of that so gently heated some zesty italian dressing with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. That was really good, so I'm going to buy some more spinach today. LOL

Now I'll pick up some beets to add to it. Do you like regular or the pickled beets on spinach salad?

Jamica jerk chicken salad with pineapple, raisins, slivered almonds. Yummy.

I pass on anything that is spelled BEETS!

Today's were pickled but I like either.
If I get them fresh I just bake them in foil, chill and slice them.
My store sells those tubs of triple washed baby spinach leaves and that is the best - no grit at all.

I had a lettuce salad with different things on it, cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons and poppy seed dressing. I also had a tablespoon of kidney bean salad and about the same of cole slaw, plus I had the pot pie and a sausage and green beans and fried rolls with apple butter and the greatest iced tea. Cheryl and I really did enjoy our meals. There isn't a vegetable I don't think that I don't like.

Me! Cobb Salad from the Honey Baked Ham store, no dressing. I thought I had dressing in the frig at the shop. Guess not. I must have tossed it when I cleaned the frig a few months ago. Shared the leftovers with the dog.

I love a cobb salad.
My spinach salad was delicious! Mine had bacon, eggs, and walnuts, all chopped with the house dressing.
Friend had spinach with fresh asparagus and chicken on hers.

I have had for the past few days salad capresce...oh how I love that.. fresh sliced tomato alternating with slices of fresh buffalo mozzarella fresh basil, and I also put some capers, fresh oregano. drizzle with sea salt, evoo, fresh ground black pepper..a little squirt of fresh lemon juice..,and you are in heaven!!!

I have never have tasted cobb salad or heard of it, but when I googled it, it sounds yumlicious.

TOMATO SANDWICH WITH DUKE'S MAYO ON WONDERBREAD!

Bought the Wonderbread for my brother last week... for myself, whole grain always.

Mid-afternoon snack at the blood bank.... strawberry-kiwi juice and Rice Krispies treat. Good stuff on occasion.
