Kobi gets Purina ONE in the can. It is about $1.20 a can here in MO and can be found at most grocery stores.

Darla eats Purina Naturally Complete. We had to try several foods after she outgrew her puppy food, and this is the one that she loves. She is very healthy, too, says the vet.

I feed mine Good Life Recipe Chicken, brown rice and Veggie.

She's an intact female. She does well on it. It's not the cheapest stuff, but it's not expensive either. (But they don't have a puppy formula.)
I found that she has to be kept on higher fat/protein foods, or she gets lame. She ate Old Roy Highly Active or something like that for 4 or 5 years before I put her on this. She self feeds and isn't over weight. She's eating breakfast right now..I can hear her walking and chomping on the deck. LOL ~She's a Border/Aussie Mix.

Akayla was fed Nutro as a puppy (by the breeder), and she still eats Nutro (Large Breed Adult). It's about $1/pound I think; we buy it at the feed store. We also give her a little canned food or meat scraps on top of it.

All 3 dogs eat Healthy Choice Beneful here. But, I also add a little bit of human veggies to it. Whatever is left over from Dinner, if it is a veggie they can have.

All our dogs eat Canidae All Life Stage Formula.

My dogs like the Good Life Recipe dry dog food and I also feed them Mighty Dog canned food but they only like the shredded/roasted kind.

When I had my Dobbie (she'll be gone 1 year in Oct) I fed
her Purina One, Alpo and as a treat Pigs Ears which I under
stand is not good for them but didn't know that at that time.

Science diet, it isn't cheap. Jake likes it.

Science Diet here too. The day that we went to pick up Goldie that is the food that was sent home with her. We read up on it and liked what we read.....and she eats it as if they're going to stop making it tomorrow...of course, she eats the puppy formula. A little pricey, but seems to be very good nutritionally....

We feed Nutro Max for large breed.

When we sold our puppies, we gave each new owner a 16-lb. bag (these are BIG puppies) of the puppy food they'd been eating. That way if they wanted to transition to something different, they had plenty of food on hand to do that ... if they didn't want to transition, they had a bag to cut the label from so they could take it to the store and be sure to get the correct food.

I'm another Nutro Max for large breed user. Most vets I talk to say any food is fine as long as it's the right formula for the age,size and activity level of the dog. Most also agree the labels on ALL dog foods are misleading on how much to feed. My dogs get about half of what the label says supplemented by a wee bit of canned food or veggies and a few treats throughout the day.

The two males get Biljac Senior and Reduced Fat, mixed together with a half can of green beans on each bowl...only about a cup and a half of dog food in each bowl...

the little girl gets Biljac Large Breed Select with a pouch of Pedigree wet and some greenbeans...she gets about 2 cups of dry...

Jake eats Purina One dry food. Several years ago, a friend who breeds dogs told me that Purina One is just as good as Science Diet or Iams. My younger kitties eat Purina One also.

Purina dry -- the puppy gets the large-breed puppy formula for her first year then will switch to 'normal', the older two get the healthy-weight formula. We also split one big can of Alpo among the three as a topping for the dry kibble.

Our girl,Kaicee, who will be 6 in October, has been raised on Purina Healthy Morsels and human food plus her daily Pet Tab vitamin and brewers yeast tablets.

My Molly is a 5 year old Wheaten terrier. She eats Beneful dry food in a green bag, as recommended by my vet.

I see there are alot of Nutro users here as well as purina. I was reading the ingredients on both and I was leaning toward the Nutro. They have a very good breeder program also. Its a hard decision and I am not sure at all I really want to change their food. Was just trying to find something that may still be given to them after they are placed with new homes

Nutro Lamb and Rice (with a little sprinkle of parmesan cheese).

My Boxer gets dry Good Life Recipe with beef, brown rice and vegetables. She also gets one hotdog a day cause she loves them. I can't feed her the Good Life Recipe with chicken because she becomes gas city!!!

Canidae kibble for our boxer. Our lab mix gets C/D from the vet because of urinary tract issues.

Just as an aside, when Penelope (the mom) was pregnant and then nursing she was soooo finicky - just wouldn't eat, and we knew that she needed to keep up her strength - all she would eat was Puppy Plate (at $2.50 a can)! Luckily, I was friends with the owner of the pet store (who also happened to own the "father" dog - long story) so she started giving it to me at cost, which was significantly cheaper.

We have our boys on Eukanuba, it's from the Iams family. They've both been on it all of their lives. It's moderately priced. They really enjoy it and it satisfies them plus they never have an upset tummy.

3 Aussies here (10yrs, 4 yrs, and 8 months) I feed Iams mini chunks in the green bag. Made a mistake and got the large kibbles and you should have seen the looks. "You expect us to eat THAT?!?" They survived and I didn't make that mistake again.

We feed Sara, our pitbull, Nutro. We have found less "yard waste" since changing to this.

I normally feed Mason mailmen and smarmy little kids.

When they're in short supply, I go with Iams Large Breed.

Our girl gets fed B.A.R.F (bones and raw food) - her faves are raw chicken necks or minced beef mixed with raw veges, eggs, sardines, not to mention the occassional big meaty bone which gives her a great jaw work-out and gives her teeth a good clean!

Just got a new puppy about 3 weeks ago and have her on the same food I got from the breeder which is I-Vet. Cost wasn't bad considering I get a smaller bag(8 lbs)for the cats for almost the same price as I did for a 18 lb. bag of I-Vet.

Another Nutro feeder here. Reilly has eaten it since he was 5 months old, and he is 9 now. Axel eats it, too. We do the lamb and rice.

Murphy eats Purina Pro Plan for large breeds. Chicken and rice. Our other dog used to eat the nutro and that was all he ever had. They didn't have it when we got Murphy so we went with the Pro Plan.

Our 4 year old Eskimo eats Fromms Four Star "Salmon A La Veg" and "Duck and Sweet Potato" kibble. Fromms Four Star also makes a Chicken and a Whitefish Kibble - you can alternate the 4 food types due to types of grains used, without getting cannon butt. We live in Canada - Fromms is made in the U.S. so of course we pay too much for it and only a few retailers carry it - although it is showing up in more places now, perhaps because it wasn't on the recall list. He has been on this food since he was 9 months old - until then we are all thinking he might need a digestive enzyme - a smooth operator - but the Fromm's Salmon fixed that - and this past year we expanded to the Duck. Northern breeds like the Eskie seem to do well on Fish based diets. His cookies are also Salmon based. Hard to keep his weight under control and this from somone who managed to keep mini Dachshunds at a reasonable weight - and Dachshunds are the gourmands of gourmets.

Iams mini chunks or toy breed formula...DH got the large chunks one time too....man that bag seemed to last FOREVER! lol
