I just thought I'd try again with getting my pictures up here. Even though it looks like it has issues, the plant still went on to bloom. The dahlia next to it in the garden has the same problem and what looks like an almost split (open) stalk but is still starting to bloom a healthy bloom today. I'm going to pass along what Spike, the original owner of GW told me about 6 years ago. If you're concerned about controlling any photo, don't post it on the internet. Once it's up, there is no way to take it back. Like it or not, our copyright laws have been pretty much shredded by technology in the past 5 years. They're technically there but not enforceable as a practical matter. It's an area that needs dramatic overhaul and a way to embed ownership in the original photo. It can be done fairly easily but has not been done yet. Folks on this forum tend to know this but in case someone doesnt -- if you sign up for a photo site like Photobucket -- use a handle, not your real name. I cannot tell you how many times I've clicked on a link and gone to someone's photo album and been horrified because that person has basically posted their last name and address on the internet. Ditto for YouTube. And I know you all are aware of being doubly careful with pix of the kiddos. No names, locations etc. As for Pinterest, I know they are pinning from everywhere but it's a very nice community (at least for the moment) and most are surprisingly good about sourcing IME.

All you do is open a different browser. I prefer Opera, and have K-meleon (very similar to Mozilla & Netscape) and Firefox, and it depends on the use as to which I'll use. I have been trying out Chrome too but haven't used it much. Just install it, and open it up. Set the preferred browser to be your default browser and it'll automatically open that browser when it's needed. Each program has a setting in the preferences to check to see if it's the default browser. Otherwise if you have a file on your machine that is .htm or .html (among others), right click that file and click "open with", choose the browser and check use that program every time. Also, whenever things act goofy, it's a good idea to do some maintenance. Start by doing a disk cleanup, run a virus scan, malware check, disk check and defrag your hard drive. Oh, and if it acts goofy, reboot. A simple reboot solves a myriad of problems.
