What's your definition of spam? It may be from Photobucket or not. But does it matter? Just delete it...

I'm the curious type!

I might want to see those cute kangaroos and baby bears. lol

I might have used the word phishing, rather than spam, but either way if it is one or the either, it would be helpful to me and others to know that.

Julia - I don't understand how you could have used all your bandwidth. I'm only at 9 percent and I post a lot of photos, and have never deleted any in five years. You should edit them before you post so they are screen shots. I use Photo Elements, and when I crop my photos, I make them 80-100 dpi. They show up beautifully on websites, but are not high enough resolution to print well. Debra

Hand made Hummingbird Feeders--Pictures from Photobucket

Thanks, guys. Those glass flowers are amazing! I wish the pictures could be enlarged to see the detail. I have this vague memory that I might have seen the real ones many, many years ago when I visited Boston. They truly are exquisite works of craftmanship, and glass is such a classy material compared with Sculpey clay. It has a translucency that's hard to get with polymer clay. If I make the Sculpey clay really thin, though, the light passes through and makes the petals glow in the sunshine. I'm always striving to get this effect, but it's hard to do. When clay is pressed this thin, it tends to slump either in the forming or in the baking stage. It is definitely a labor of love, but then so is gardening for hummingbirds and feeding them. It is such a thrill to make a feeder and watch them head right for it, take a sip, and zip off, disappearing to parts unknown. Some of my flowers are quite a bit larger than life, and I sometimes chuckle to myself and wonder what those little hummingbirds are thinking when they see a Salvia coccinea that is 3x bigger than it ought to be. "Ay caramba! That's the biggest salvia I ever saw!" I've had my share of failures, but have gotten better and better at making them hummer friendly. Although I try to make them works of art, they remain, first and foremost, functioning hummingbird feeders. Here's a couple more: A NOTE TO CS7580 (Otherwise known as Connie, I think)--If you're seeing this, I just wanted you to know that I tried to send you an email by going through your member page, but I think it didn't go through. I know you were interested in trying to make your own Sculpey clay feeders, and I remembered some instructional things I hadn't mentioned in my original post that might help you with your efforts. If you're interested, maybe you can send me an email by using my member page. Hopefully, it will work for you. Once I have your email, I can get those extra instructions to you. They are very important, and I think you'll have trouble being successful without them.

Try copying and pasting the photo into your email instead of attaching it as a link. Right click on the picture, then select 'copy', then go to your email and click in the message where you want the picture to go, then 'paste'. Your email may be set to show pictures as links instead of embedding them into the message, but I don't know how to tell you to fix that without looking at the preferences for your email program.

As spam filters get better at identifying spam from the content of the email, the spammers have resorted to sending emails filled with nonsense text.

Click the link if you're short on viruses and spyware and want to stock up. Otherwise, leave it alone.

you need to check your settings on your photobucket account I posted a thread about that here some time back you might do a search for it, but it sounds like you do not have your settings private.

I clicked the link and reread the info. Found that I had posted there at the time. I had made mine private, and blocked other users. What I find now is that I have a Mobile Upload address and a Mobile PIN. I don't even have a cell phone! I deleted that and clicked Save, but then I got a message that said I have to have a Mobile address, so they gave me a new one.

Now What?

Raven, I really appreciate all your help.

well that is strange they gave you a mobile address? I would have no clue what to do with it either. They keep adding new stuff to the photobucket settings and account info and I have to say I wish they would leave it as it was everyone loved it and now that they are messing with it well I don't think they are all improvements.

I just checked my PB account and I have a Mobile Address & pin # too. Address is just my sign in name with a few numbers added to it. The # is just the extra numbers.

Don't know how long its been there, but it doesn't seem to bother anything. I do have a cell phone I never use, and there is no camera on it.

I guess that is just the way PB wants it! Doesn't seem to cause a problem though.
