Just talked to DD on my cell while I was at the grocery store, so cut it short. But Nate had his MRI and the Dr. only had the 1st MRI he'd had taken to make a comparison with todays MRI. So she's waiting for the Med Center to send over his last one, and have the technicians take the reading and get the numbers. Then they'll get more info next week (unless the Dr. calls her with them). But like they have told us before, it may never disappear, and still show up on an MRI, but it'll be dormant.
He'll start his new round of chemo on Monday. Then in 2 weeks go in and have some blood work done.
So keep praying for him please.

I am a brain tumor survivor and have had 10 MRI's. Linda is absolutely correct in saying that tumors never really "go away", it will shink to some extent, but The important part is necrosis (when the cells die). On MRI films you may still see something there, but when the dye/contrast is injected the tumor will light up differently.

I know the stress of waiting for MRI results. I think I age 10 years each time. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with Nathan, you and your family. I know he will be fine!!!!

Cheryl, The Dr. showed his mom, on the 2nd MRI, the difference already, in color of the tumor. It had shrunk some, and the tumor was getting lighter, or turning back to the color of the healthy brain tissue. I sure appreciate hearing these reassuring outcomes you and Linda have had.
Nathan has only had 1 'head rush' or head ache, since about the 2nd week of radiation/chemo. And that was on a river rafting camp out he went on with his church. They were playing some game where they were swung around and around. It was possibly just from that motion and just being dizzy.
So that's a good sign too. He was having 8-10 'spells' a day before he was diagnosed.
