LOL! I just traded in my Sunfire for a truck! I was tired of shifting gears so we went looking for something else,someone had JUST traded in an Explorer Sport Track and I grabbed it! LOL! Wsn't even in the dealers hands yet actually.So we sat and waited til it was and then snatched it up.It's Silver with black...Love it! Short bed.I've always loved trucks so now I have one.I know...I'm an idiot! LOL!

Congrats .....Welllllll a lot of women wouldn't understand the want for a truck but then not everyone lives in TX...I think more women drive trucks in TX than probably anywhere else...well I don't really know that to be true but I can't imagine driving anything but a truck...I have a Ford Ranger extended cab 4 X 4 ....I love it...

Caudex1: That is a really nice specimen. The picture doesn't convey just how massive it is, thanks for including the dimensions! I really like the aged look of the trunks, very natural. Oddly, I've never come across a variegated Jade for sale in my neck of the woods... Greenjay: Actually, they were done in two different ways. In all cases, I started with big branches that had been rooted all together in those 4 gal pots by the previous owner. I broke up the tangled root balls, trying to separate as many of the branches as possible. In some cases, like the large Jade and large Trumpet Jade, they came off with substantial root balls that were worth keeping. With those, I used bonsai wire and the lava rock to hold them in place and support them until they got established. For the smaller ones, the roots were too small to bother keeping, so I just took a big cutting. To demonstrate how easy it is to work with Jade, I'll share my secret of getting the little ones to stand up in such shallow pots. There is actually a 2" wood screw running through the bottom of the pot up into the stem of the plant! The screws held them upright and in place until they established some roots. That took a few months, but once I saw some new growth, I started watering and they all took off. I've got a bunch more material from these garage sale plants, but those are still works in progress and don't look nearly as nice as these. I'll post some pics if anyone is interested... Also, I don't plan to ever repot these as I'm content with their current size, and Jades have very little use for luxuries like nutrients and minerals!

Chris, Your name goes down in that book of great sans people. You are one of the ones who got me heavily involved. I have really enjoyed this forum and the great people who was here and hope they come back with there 2 cents. (Worth more than my $10 ha ha). I think we all know the good people here. I like your house! I love the sizes of your bedrooms - they are not tiny, but instead are really spacious. My last house had the smallest BR at 8 x 11, and that is really too small. I am not so sure I agree with Marti about moving the door so that the bathroom and hall door don't line up. Lining up as they do makes it much easier for a walker or wheelchair user to enter and use the bathroom. Do you have room to put a vanity stool and knee space under your side of the master vanity? You may find as you age that sitting to do your hair or makeup is easier. Also make sure there is room for at least a walker (and better yet, a wheelchair) in your bathroom. Making some storage out of removable cabinets or using removable walls (like the closet near the tub) would give you that option if you ever need it. At least you could build that smaller closet after you have the floor tiled. Then if you need to remove it for accessibility to the toilet and bathtub, you will have a finished floor underneath. You might even have room for a hoyer lift in that corner if the closet is removed. (Ask me how I know a Hoyer lift in the bathroom helps!) As a matter of fact, you can look into making the front door wheelchair accessible from Day 1. Have your concrete guys pour a ramp that goes across the front of the house up to a flat platform/ vestibule outside the front door. Make the flat porch large enough to make a vestibule and to open the door with a scooter sitting on the porch, too. You may want to have a porch roof over the whole ramp if you live where there is ice and snow. That way, you can get a wheelchair, scooter, or walker into the home unassisted. You never know when one of you may lose your mobility. You would hate to send one of you to a nursing home just because the house was not accessible! It just dawned on me that you could build a front porch OVER the ramp, giving you a porch to use now, but the option for removing the front porch and having a ramp there instead. Presto-chango! A transformer home for old folks!

there has been red update info on the first pages up at the top telling about the problems that are happening on GW, some people keep that area collapsed so do not see it. tami if it is a new laptop and has windows 7 on it go into the security center and make sure the included windows firewall is turned on, some come with it turned off, make sure you have it set to on. It is a good firewall on windows 7. The other program I always recommend everyone use is malwarebytes which is free, it will take care of the infections that your antivirus program misses, just be sure you update it before running the full scan and do that once a week or so. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (Win) - Detecting and Removing Malware I also recommend spywareblaster which is free too, no scans to do with it, just update it weekly then hit the enable all protection so the shield is green and it helps protect you while surfing. SpywareBlaster Make sure you watch out for when the version of the Antivirus that came on the pc expires it is not usually a very long free trial. to stop all those ads and banners you would need to get firefox browser and add the extension ad block plus with the easylist subscriptions. If you need info on that just ask or come over to the computer help area here on GW and we can help you. It is always a good idea to have at least one additional browser in addition to IE in case IE failed you would still have access to get online. making sure your laptop has all the needed updates is essential, not just the windows updates which are a must but also updates for Java, adobe, flash etc. to check what is needed you can run the secunia tool which will help you make sure you have everything updated. Idiot? Not! Wish I had a truck when I packed 15 bags of mulch, four bags of pea gravel and sand into my little Mitsubishi. I had to put it in the trunk and back seat! What a mess! I'm thinking of getting a small used truck next. Seriously.

I'm the one who talked hubby into buying a truck nine years ago, and we'll never be without one again! LOL! This one is 4x4 extended cab (or whatever it's called when normal-sized people can sit in the backseat). It's my daily driver to work and I love it.

Hi CR ~ Congratulations!!! I also have a short bed Sport Track. I've had this one for two years and love it. It has hauled hundreds of pieces of sod and hundreds of bags of mulch and countless other things.

I do miss the Blazer SUV we had. It was great for taking the dogs to the vet and to the park, but Bob traded it in on a Dodge Charger that he doesn't even drive. I was so upset about him doing that. I even checked the small fine print on our marraige vows to see if that was grounds for divorce. ( just kidding about that part )

Congrats on your truck! I love, love, love mine. DH sold his 20-year old truck last fall, so I share mine, of course, but I am the one who picked it out and I am the one who is paying for it.

Thanks everyone! Glad I'm not gonna be the only truck-driving mama on the board! LOL!
It has a little damage on the passenger side front fender but they knocked off over a thousand dollars for it and Larry can fix it for much less than that.It's a 2003...not new. Only has 47,000 miles on it though.Here's a pic of one exactly like it.It's a cute little (mid size) truck.And drives like a car.It's not a 4x4 but Larrys Frontier is.I wasn't worried about 4 wheel here in the desert....LOL!

Oh, wow, that's a beauty, CR. I love the 4 full-sized doors and the short bed, it's CUTE! Just what a little rat needs in the desert. lol We have a silver truck too, and they come in handy more often than not, so we'll never be without a truck again, either.

Hubby has a new 4 wheeled drive diesel Chevy Silverado. It is a honey of a truck. We have had a truck for 40 years. couldn't be without one. I am a short chic and he built a step for me to get in.,. I drive a wildfire red ZR2 Tracker. Perfect little vehicle for me. Hubby always bought a new one each year but now that he has retired he will keep this one. I don't go much these days so it takes me lots of years to pack on the miles.. I have less then 10,000 miles on it and it is 6 years old. I wouldn't have that much but hubby drove it to work for awhile..

I have always loved trucks and DH finally got one I can drive too. It is 2007 GMC Sierra he bought almost a year ago. He used to have a 1946 Chevy and a 1955 Chevy (still has but engine needs to be rebuilt - again and he doesn't have time). I never could drive those, talk about really stiff shifting! What I always wanted was a Morris Minor pickup truck. We use to have a Morris Minor woody wagon. So cute!

Deb...Denny just bought a used Ford Explorer Sport, but it isn't a truck..more like the SUV's It's silver too.
