If you are thinking of signing up for the Christmas Card Exchange

I just was at the Post Office yesterday, and am going again today, cause I forgot my mail, had to pick up a package yesterday. I got to thinking about stamps. I have plenty for now, but thought about buying some for later, so I had a good supply for our card exchange. Maybe some of you would like to do that. They only sell the forever stamps now in regular postage, so the won't go to waste if the postage goes up.

I won't start the sign up for until sometime in October, but I just thought I would suggest buying stamps ahead for it if you are interested in signing up. That way it's one less expenditure right before Christmas. Plus it's easier to get to the post office now instead of in the snow!

Good idea Tami. Last year was the first year I didn't do it and I did miss it. I'm starting to work on Christmas cards early this year.

What a great idea to bring it up now since prices will probably go up again. Thanks!!

Here is a reminder for the card exchange. I was out of town for the weekend, then found out that DGD is in the hospital on our way home, then Dr, appointments, ect, so I have not been on the computer. I have barely kept up with the important emails, and still have 150 to go thru! I know what I will be doing this weekend. In fact, today is the first I have been on the computer at all, anything for email has been done on my phone. Toni, I did get your message, forgot I couldn't just reply and did, of course I got the failure email! Sorry. No you haven't missed the list. One more week to sign up. I will probably separate the list into groups on Wed, night next week, and then send them out. I will be having the kids & grands Thurs evening for dinner. If we don't get any more people, do you want all one group, or do you want me to break the list in half? There are 17 including me. Let me know what you think. Tami

I went into the PO today, had to send a cd of pictures and had no idea how much postage for it, so I asked about postage for the exchange. I was told that they can only raise the price of stamps once a year, and they had been denied raising it for this year already, so it won't go up before Christmas.

US to Canada is 80 cents
US postcards are 29 cents
US to most of Europe is 98 cents, depending.

I don't know what it will be for those out of the US sending to the US, and he couldn't tell me.

Hope this helps those intending to sign up.
