Lindsey_ca (and others) about photo scanners

Lindsey, it sounds like you and I have the same scanner, or at least similar ones. I bought mine to scan my dad's old negatives (various sizes) and slides. It's a Canon CanoScan 9950F, which I paid around $400 for and which Canon has since replaced with a newer model that costs about half. That'll teach me to leave it in the box for two years!

Or maybe it was three years. I had no place to put it, and I admit I was a little daunted by the learning curve, which I'm now faced with.

Do you know how to use yours? Does anyone else at the KT use one of these? Any helpful hints, or suggestions where I might go on the Internet to find "scanning for dummies"?

Thanks!

Susan
