My sister, Faith. She lives in Orlando (a little too far to meet for lunch).
I have thought about calling my Yaya friend Joyce to see if she wants to have lunch today. I would have to drive to her town after my eye doc appointment, but it's do-able.

Saxophone, while in High School, begun shortly after our move to the Prairies. It was left in Korea, when we expected to return ... and, due to need for extended care for our son's eyes, we didn't. But I hadn't done much with it, for some time ... or maybe we'd have asked for it to be shipped back, with some of our other stuff (much of it stayed: not worthwhile to ship). It seems to me that some of you folks should get back to those old loves - whadda ya think? You could make beautiful music ... at a gathering of KT folks, for instance. Music brings joy to people's lives - and canned music isn't quite the same. How often do we get together for a good old-fashioned sing-song ... or is such a substantial part of our (non-youthful) social gatherings? Except in church. And, as for the youth and their music, most of it is mainly listening, not participating (as far as singing goes, though they usually do participate in terms of movement). As a Catholic, it would be hard for me to respond to this question without violating the "no politics/no religion" policy. Suffice it to say that Lent is not necessarily about "giving up something" but more about true conversion and making sacrifices to help others. Yes, "giving up something" is part of it, but if it only benefits yourself and only for a limited time, then the point is missed all together. JMO that maybe I should have kept to myself....

Daniele (my youngest daughter) she lives in California, my friend Lisa (she lives in NY) also Stacey
