New pics of Emma and Eli...

Eli is 7 already. And much more cooperative about posing...if nothing better is going on, anyhow.

Goofing off.

Waiting for pizza.

Emma is 9!

And waiting for pizza.

And a perfect summer day yesterday.

hi Marina, sure, I'm pretty sure my plants come from DA Texas. I ordered them via DA US online. In the past I've generally had very nice and strong 3 cane bareroots from them. Although once I ordered late in the season and 2 of them had a really hard time getting established in the ground due to the heat. One of them I've since moved into a pot and it has done really well. The other has become established, but I don't think it is as full as it could have been. I also tried a 2 pack from Costco last season, which has done really well. Unfortunately, my experience with own root plants from Chamblees has not been great - of the 3 out of 4 still alive, 2 of them are spindly, weak very sad plants. But this latest order was from DA US. They did send me a monster St Swithun Clg as a substitute though - this thing was a monstrosity, 4-5 strong canes and maybe 3 inches thick at the root stock shaft. I thought maybe no one orders this particular rose? =)

Hard to believe Emma is nine already. I see hints of her as a teenager in a couple of those shots. Great pictures, as always, Joan. I love that first one of Emma, complete with nail polish assortment. :-)

What cuties! Love those green eyes.
I noticed the brick wall in the photos and it reminds me of the pizza place in Walker MN near where we vacation. We are headed up that way the first week of Aug. Now I can't wait to have some of that pizza, it is fantastic!

Cherbo, this is at Pizza Pub in Pine City. Best pizza! We always get their special or else cheeseburger pizza, and always start with deep-fried cauliflower w/cheese sauce.
We stayed overnight at Walker a couple of weeks ago, ran into a really bad storm in the RV, and spent the night in the casino parking lot, along with about 25 other RV's.

Well I guess MN has the best Pizzas! We used to stay in a resort near a little town called Pine River. That resort sold it's cabins to individuals so we had to find another resort. It is near Black Duck. I hope we don't have any of those bad storms while we are there.

We were on the way back from Bemidji, dh had done a sewing machine sale at Ben Franklin. He used to do Blackduck, but sales kept dropping off. But when he first went up there, I swear everyone in town bought a serger! We love the area up there, and north, Big Bog Rec. Area on Red Lake.

They have grown! And still so beautiful.

Think I'm going to paint my nails like Emma's. Hope I can get away with it at my age.
