But if I cut down a half dead Japanese maple and move about six half dead rhododendrons then maybe there will be enough sun in that spot to plant some roses. Maybe I should order some roses in case all that happens. hmmm. I think I'd like an area of apricot and cream roses. I am so happy to find this topic. Thanks all for great contribution. I live in Ho Chi Minh city too and started growing rose a couple of months ago. I am still learning but I believe that we can grow tempertate rose plants in this city with some care. The most important thing is lighting; rose would love morning sunlight in this city (till 12pm) but afternoon sunlight will burn young leave if they expose to direct sunlight too long. So growing rose with morning direct sunlight and afternoon shade is important. However I have a balcony with afternoon sunlight only; I do have 3 rose plants on this balcony (Alexandra of Ken, Red Eden and Spirit of Freedom); I make sure that my roses expose to direct sunlight only 2-3 hours; remaining time is with great light but not direct sun. They are doing quite well and Kent provided beautiful flowers last month and now some more are coming :)

My husband who had AZ had a brain scan and the result was part of his brain had atrophied. It could never get better, that part of his brain was dead. Nothing helps Alzheimer patients. The meds they give them are all experimental, never been proven to help.

I'm so sorry for all the loss you've experienced in such a short time. You have some situations that I've had including a cat with IBD and hyperT. And I'm often pondering a third cat including when I thought my IBD hyperT cat wasn't going to live much longer. He ended up living a couple more years. I currently have a 14 year old diva cat who is healthy and a five year old cat who was close buddies with the IBD cat who died earlier this year. I thought I wasn't going to get a third cat but I decided the boy needed a buddy since the diva doesn't snuggle up with him like the cat who died. I had some trouble with one adult male who was too aggressive so I ended up getting a seven month old female and they were buddies within a week. I too try not to have them too close in age so I don't have multiple medically challenged geriatric cats at the same time. I can see why you'd want to get another cat now. If the new cat had the right demeanor it probably wouldn't be too stressful for the diva.
