Ron...Emerald Lake is in Crested Butte Colorado. For the past 2 weekends we've been hanging out at the "wildflower festival" they're having there. :0) It's a hoot! This deer was munching flowers there in a field.....:0) I'll post more of the area as the week goes by....:0)

I hope it's okay that I saved and emailed a copy of your photo to my son in New Mexico. Hewill be finishing his Summer on the fire crew in early Aug and plans on spending a week in Colorado on his way home to Minnesota. Emerald Lake looks like his kind of place.

jodi....yes.....DH is Robin Wilson. :0)

Ron.....Crested Butte is beautiful. But.....in Colorado Springs, last week in Aug there is a balloon festival over a lake, with mountains as a backdrop. The balloons dip their baskets in the water before leaving for "good luck". It's something to see...

Nicole, are you saying your DH only started taking photos two years ago?????? If so, he's a real prodigy!

His style is what I aspire to take one day when I get a real camera (aka DSLR).
