No I wouldn't pay to play games on the computer. Even the train game. I enjoy it when it is free, but I tire of things really easily. If I play some games too long I see them behind my eyelids when I am trying to go to sleep at night. I think it works on my mind. My mother told me once that she never learned how to crochet from her mother. The reason was that DGM went to the doctor and the doctor told her she had to quit crocheting because it was working on her mind. This would have been in the days of kerosene lamps, thus not very good light. I think the same thing happened to her as it does to me. I do play yahoo pinochle and euchre. Right now I am doing jigsaw puzzles on shockwave, but I can't do it for very long or I see the pieces when I want to go to sleep. I also do the shanghai dynasty that someone mentioned on here and I like that. Also spider solitaire and majong titans. So I admit I love games but I would never pay for them.

Stone the Crows Thos pesky crows are bored of the corn fields and have found that nibbling on nice, tasty marijuana plants is rather fun. However, this isn't going down so well with Farmer Sue Tickle who is determined to stop these high fliers from getting high. Load up your rifle and head for the fields. Lily, I would play with you too! Maybe you can find a source of games in your community. A venue in my area has Game Night once a month, attended by people of all ages. Some of the games look rather intense and seem to require a lot of thought (Pandemic is one), but I've played lighter games there with a friend. If you're close to my age you could probably find games at a local senior center. You could also poll your friends to see if there's any interest. Who knows--some may be silently yearning for a fun game. Fran, I was thinking about bridge recently. I haven't played since the 1960's, but I'd be willing to read up on it and see if I could join a group. However, I remember my husband was not thrilled with my bridge playing. He was a serious duplicate bridge player, and I like to chat while I play. Chances are the local groups would feel the same way my husband did about my playing style. LOL Foggy, I looked up Telestrations, and it sounds like great fun. But I wonder if the two artists in my group would spoil some of the fun. They are very good. Playing Cranium on my team recently, one of them had to draw a saddle with her eyes closed. It was perfect. Socks, thanks for the tip about Hoot Owl Hoot and Peaceable games!

I played for the 2nd time last night for a few minutes and managed to get 18 again (again in foods). Got some higher numbers in a couple of other categories too, but didn't have time (or the concentration) to play long. 34, wow! What category was that? I found that some questions get repeated if you play several times.
