You mentioned on another thread that you have Countrysunshine's tartar sauce recipe. I'd love to see it if you have some spare time to post it.

There is a local restaurant that has the most amazing tartar sauce. I never liked tartar sauce until I tasted theirs. It isn't tart and the pickles are chopped so finely that it makes me wonder how they get it that small. I'm always looking at different tartar sauce recipes trying to find one comparable to theirs.

Not Patti, but I use CS's recipe, too:

1 cup Hellman's (Best Foods) mayo
2 TBLS finely minced onion
2 TBLS finely minced dill pickle
2 TBLS chopped parsley
Fresh lemon juice, to taste (I cut lemon into 6 wedges and use one wedge)

Mix together, chill and serve

Just got back from running around, took a couple packages to the post office, two different grocery stores, got my and Lauren's hair cut, dropped one of Lauren's friends at his house, filled up my gas tank. Didn't feel like cooking so I fried up some bratwurst for me and the kids are having leftovers Lauren made last night...marinara, noodles and some chicken breast I'm cooking up right now. They ate it with pork last night...only meat in the house at the time.

Thanks, Glenda. Oh, was that ever a treat. I think I enjoyed the pedicure the most. That and the chair with the roller than goes up and down your whole back! Ahhh! Now I'm all gussied up and ready to go. We split an Italian sub and had some Muncho's with it.

Thanks, Glenda--sure appreciate it. We left home at 8 this a.m. and didn't get home until 6:30. It was a long day--mostly waiting. I did fine--the picc line is my new BFF. Now I don't have another appointment until I start radiation Aug. 1. I don't want to think about doctors, sickness or anything but everyday stuff for the next week. What a luxury it will be. Y'all ate really well--but, then, you always have great meals. Almost for got. Stopped at Wendy's. I had a junior cheeseburger and Harry got the new pretzel bun burger and liked it a lot--especially the bun. Thanks--sorry I forgot who mentioned it earlier--but thanks for the tip.

I forgot that sometimes I add a little dried dill to the mix.

Try adding some chopped capers and crumbled tarragon to the mix.....best ever!
