Lilla Velleen Lamb, 86, of Atwater went to be with her Lord on June 5, 2011. She went to sleep in Canton and woke up in Heaven.

She was the beloved wife of Vincent Lamb for 65 years. She was the mother of Dana (Dee) of Fairview, NC, David (Linda) of Massillon, OH, and daughter-in-law Barbara, of Ravenna, OH. She was the much loved grandmother of Cherie, Stephen, Tracie, Danny, Greg, Carrie, Rachel, Zachary, Brianna, Alaina, Ian, Keith and great-grandmother of Brianna, Brittany, Cody, Rebecca, Audrey, Haley, Christina, Kristen, Logan, Jeanna, Rhionna, Champaign, Bradley, Myra, Sam and Tanner. She was the great-great-grandmother of Aloura, Hannah and Jaxon. Her son Jim, of Ravenna, preceded her in death.

Lilla was born and raised in Akron, graduating from North High School in 1942. At North she took a class in photography that lead to a life long love of taking pictures. Lilla was also a crocheter and blessed many people over the years with pictures of her flowers and the afghans, sweaters, and pot-holders she made. Always outgoing, Lilla never met a stranger. She will be very much missed by her family, friends in the Atwater Historical Society, and her on-line friends. She and Vincent loved to travel, visiting all the states, except Hawaii, and visiting Ireland, England, Scotland, Canada and Mexico.

A service remembering her life will be held Saturday June 11, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Fairhaven Baptist Church, 3575 Tisen Rd. (south of 224 at 532), Akron, OH. Dress is casual.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local church.
