RESULTS ARE IN - the mri has verified what the doc said and it is 90% that they had gotten out! THANK GOD!!! We are thrilled and happy. It is a great start to the weekend. Hoping that Bradley continues to rest and recover well. His left side of his face is still not working properly and the doc thinks in time that should not be an issue. That was just the assistant doc so if by Mon there is still issues watch out surgeon cuz i will be drilling you!!! He is finally back to sleep now watching non-other than SpongeBob. It's 6pm and i'm ready for bed i think! uh oh kids r calling...i'll talk to you all later.

What amazing news for this little guy and his family. He still has a long road ahead of him...but what a great start!

I hope that your 'recipe' doesn't cause problems for the plant. Whatever you do, don't apply it to the bottom of the leaves, where it will clog the pores...most of which can be located on on the underside. The white things are the shed skins of the developing aphids...as they get larger after being birthed, they have to get rid of their exoskeletons along the way.

@Alex and Larsi, thanks for the great info! I hope you don't mind my hijacking this thread. Sadly, I need to stack. I agree, I hate to spend that kind of money on a dryer. Part of the issue is that my current Frigidaire pair is literally jammed in the laundry closet. And it's small for washer/dryers these days! Add that with my dryer being broken, I'm looking at options. Of course the most cost effective is to repair, which I will anyway (and forward to a family member) and jam it back in and hope it doesn't need any repairs until my back and shoulders heal, lol. Or replace now with a set that fits better. I'm on the fence. Is a condenser dryer shrink cotton polos on low hot, or just hot because it's a closed loop? What are average times for say jeans and towels? Or polos and chinos on low heat? The washer is my dream. As a massage therapist, I buy a washer based on how high the temp gets for getting massage oil/cream out of my sheets. Being able to process quickly will be great too. Thanks for the insight, I wish I could see them in action. I've only seen them unplugged. Are they quiet, like the residential ones?

My avocado tree had a ton of flowers this March (2021) but very little new leaf growth. A lot of the old leaves have turned yellow and fallen. Is this okay, or is my tree in trouble? I have never seen so many flowers on it.

New little house--how should I landscape front yard?

Cecily: On my street, the entire street is made up of identical semi-detached homes, each unit separated by about an 8' strip of grass and a driveway. There are numerous little kids. I don't want to fence in the front yard, only the back yard, and that's for deer, bunnies, and people who like to cut through my backyard from the street behind to my street. Anna: here is my snazzy new address sign, with a solar powered light on a stake stuck into the planter soil to illuminate. It is a 14" square laser-cut black metal sign, which I mounted on a piece of white plexiglass for maximum visibility. Already got compliments on it from neighbors. And the white trim is the vinyl trim on the windows and the white flashing on the roof. Door is going to be changed to a fiberglass door the color and texture of light oak, with a fan-shaped light, like this. I think I'll try to keep the white aluminum storm door, as it's a very good one. Dig Doug: That is a beautiful design! My crape myrtle is Berry Dazzle, which gets about 3-4' tall and wide. I sort of imagined it with about 3 basketball-sized rocks around it, with smaller perennials or annuals tucked in and around the rocks for color and harmony with the crape myrtle. I actually have an empty green ceramic pot closely resembling the one you put next to the window, and I love that idea. Now, what to put into it? A rosebush? A dwarf spirea like "Neon Flash"? A thrill-fill-spill combination? My contractor is going to build me a little flagstone path from the driveway to the porch so I won't have to traipse across wet grass, mud, or snow. I was thinking perhaps a border of bulb flowers along the backside of that path might be nice. I should mention that I have many small to medium hostas, several beautiful smaller heucheras, and a painted fern to work with.

Our prayers for this child are being answered and thanks has been given. I was just thrilled to read this recent update on Bradley's surgery. Prayers continue that the treatments will eradicate "all" of the tumors.

What are the plans to eliminate (and restrain from re-growth) the remaining 10% of this tumor? Is the second tumor of the same type?

I don't want to 'rain' on the good news of this surgical procedure, but there could be a very long battle ahead and an uncertain outcome. Mom, Dad and family need to pace themselves as best they can and continue to *share the burden*. Our family has been witnessing a similar situation.

Our DIL's niece will be four in July. Surgery removed most of her cancer (neuroblastoma) in June 2009. She has been in and out of hospital (mostly in) for chemo and radiation since then, and that will continue until mid-September.

Nearly half her life has been short periods of normalcy and long periods of hospitalization and severe pain. One parent or the other has been with her constantly. There is a sister, two years older, at home. Present tests show her cancer-free, but recurrence is frequent with this type of cancer; she will be tested and monitored for years.

It's been totally draining for the whole family. Mom's an MD whose partners have rallied to take on her caseload -- fortunately she has fantastic health coverage. Dad has had to curtail some of the travel his work requires. Sister has come through resentment of all the time her parents have to take away from her, but has worries no Kindergartener should have to bear.

Our DS, DIL and DGS will be driving across country to provide some respite for the family this summer -- as they did last summer. DIL's mother has flown back and forth frequently to do the same. The family has dear friends and neighbors who also pitch in.

I just wanted to remind everyone at the KT how important ALL continuing support can be!

on his own now! i ran to put laundry in and came back to Melanie right by him and here Bradley was holding his head up and trying to sit up on his own...and he was doing it:) Thank GOD:) He is a strong little boy no doubt:) Now i'm interested to see about his walking. it's all coming back for him...the swelling is still there and i'm concerned about his facial features but praying that will come back to normal in time. Sooner than later would be nice! Alright...i'm off to figure out dinner. Hope you are having a great weekend!

I usually just lurk, but had to post. I believe he just made the 10:00 news here in Des Moines on channel 13.
They said little Bradley's (they did mention the last name, but not sure if I should) tumor was 90% gone. And that he lifted his today.
I can't find it on the Channel 13 web site, but they might not have it.
