The camera I was referring to about videoing and being better was the Sony HD (Handycam) HDR-CX260. The new camera before that was a Samsung HD- it seem to have multiple problems like with focus, sound and stability. The camera before that was my original Kodak EasyShare that just started having multiple problems too- it was a good camera. The cameras I have for monitoring outside are the IR night vision. I have 16 of them now to monitor the birds and any other activities I have around the house. I did install mine myself and have them all hard wired (I can't use wireless) . You might have better luck with the wireless than I did (frequency issues). The wireless are easy to install, it's also the best bang for you buck. you need to get the getjar store it does have facebook and lots of the others that are on android market, this is also a safe market which is loaded on many of the android tablets just like slide me is. Thanks Raven. I just saw your post today, but was checking out the Amazon apps last night along with reviews and # of downloads after doing a search on "free apps". I'm still on the fence with this Nextbook. What I like is the 8" portable size and it's easy to use. What I don't like is not being able to get a wifi connection anywhere I've been so far (I live in a very populated area). Two (inside) places I tried to get wifi had secured internet in which the people didn't know their password. I couldn't even pick it up at 2 busy shopping center parking lots. Wasn't too happy about that as I don't expect to have to hunt down a Mickey D's or Starbucks to get wifi. The reviews on HSN haven't been too favorable on this tab as buyers can't get Netflix or the Android market; neither of which bothers me any. Reviews aren't shown on HSN any longer since the unit is sold out. The battery life, especially browsing, isn't good and that's something that's important to me. So, I'll be testing it out for a few more weeks. I really want it to work for me since I do like most things about this tablet. I was tempted to get an IPad, but prefer the 7-8" smaller tabs, and I can do without the monthly data plan along with the ridiculous price tag.

For those looking for a "router" for sharing data over cell services, there are additional alternatives to using a USB dongle with a portable router: - A "mobile hotspot", a combined cellular "modem" and router in one small package. Offered by the major carriers. Cost- wise, it's like having another phone, you pay to buy the device and have a (usually 2 year)contract with monthly access and data usage charges. - Most smart phones can operate as a mobile hotspot. Also called "tethering". The advantage with this is that there's nothing additional to buy and (at least with some carriers) no contract is necessary. You can turn it off and on as you wish, and apply usage to the phone plan you already have. The disadvantage is if you're not plugged in, the steady stream of cell data and wifi usage will eat through your battery life. I don't know if a tethered connection can be encrypted. It's convenient for occasional use, with my carrier, it's $ 20 per month prorated for the days it's turned on, so it's like 70 cents per day.
