Have you ever checked to see which of your photos have gotten the most attention?

Flickr lists the most frequently viewed pictures, as well as those with the most "interestingness" and the ones people have named as favorites.

Today I took a look at my most frequently viewed, and I had a surprise in store for me. The #1 most viewed of all my 1,000+ Flickr photos is a picture of a glass dish! I posted it because I had painted it. It's not as though I'm an expert glass-dish painter, either; it was my first. That is really strange.

But it gets stranger. The second most viewed picture is a shot of a grey cat. She was a nice cat, and I miss her. But I can't say the picture was the most exciting of all my cat pix. Then the favorites go to photos of my kitchen and living room, and a couple of my daughter Jill, which I can understand. But then we get to #7: a photo of a spider plant and an ironing board. I forget why I even posted it....it has just about zero "interestingness," as far as I'm concerned. Unless, of course, one has a real passion for ironing. Or unless one happens to be a male spider plant, and my plant is a female. In any case, it's the 7th most popular of all my Flickr photos.

My webshot album does that,and every week they send me an email telling me how many times certain albums have been viewed.I really need to update that one~~~~~~~~~~it's old,and i mostly use photobucket now,but that one is private.(Photobucket)

My sister is passionate about ironing,don't ask me why,never been a passion of any of the rest of her sisters. Me included ,LOL.

I use Photobucket and never even thought to look at my stats. The number one hit on all my 1,511 photos, is my kitchen. My backsplash is well-known over at the Kitchen forum so that is no surprise. There are well over 9,000 hits.

Well thank you all. I was hoping there would be more Flickr members who wanted to share their photos. Thank you for posting Suzanne. The really weird thing is I went to your page and realized I had looked at it the other day and didn't know it was you! I remember looking at the photo of the fallen barn...just a day or two ago! I like how your photos tell stories. The barbershop and the store...I liked the pinup/jeep photo too (plus your chihuahua really is the cutest). Suzanne's right about the groups. If you take a photo of something there is a group of people with a photo pool about it. I like the tagging aspects of the site. It lets you and others search easily for photos with certain 'tags' you give the work. If I take a photo of a circus scene I might tag it with -circus, clowns, fun, tent, trapeze, popcorn, etc... Sheila, I use a really simple point and shoot, a Kodak C875. If you click on someone's photo it brings up the technical information on the bottom right under Additional Information. I don't use a special lens. I'd love to use a digital SLR with variable lenses but it's not in the budget right now. Essentially I shoot the heck out of something. Usually there's a few shots with good focus. Then it's just a question of cropping.

Lopaka has the best collection and takes professional quality pics, people actually steal his pics of rare plumies to sell their tat. As for Bonnie Fox, it only performs if you have heat, humidity and light. Other wise it has a SUPER strong scent like Celadine. Profuse bloomer and compact. There was the original Bonnie Fox from Tropic nature then Matt aka onestopaloha sold something called Volcano Goddess that looked like Bonnie Fox then sold it as Bonnie Fox. I do not know if the issue was ever resolved as to if it were Bonnie Fox. The original Bonnie Fox from Tropic nature supposedly had issues with rooting, most rotted back when it was first released per customers who bought her. How about imgur.com? I don't have any real experience with it but think it's pretty no-frills. I know you can even upload a photo without registering. Of course you'd want to register if you wanted control over your uploads. One I did use a very long time ago is imageshack.us. It might be another candidate?

I opened a Snapfish account and uploaded all my Flickr photos into that. I believe there are instructions on the Snapfish site, although I am not all that crazy about Snapfish. It seems to make it hard to share the photos on another site. I just checked and on Snapfish there is a button that says Upload (near the top of the page). If you hover over that, it gives you the option to Upload from Flickr.

That's really interesting. I didn't know that your photos on Flickr or Photobucket were available for everyone to see.

Kathi you said that your Photobucket album is private. Does that mean you have the option not to share you pictures?
