Well I decided on a big Sunday dinner. We are having meatloaf (I make a darn good one if I do say so myself lol) mashed potatoes with real sweet cream butter, and green beans oh and fresh rolls.. For dessert, we have a cherry pie and whipped cream.

It is getting ready to storm here in my part of Ohio again.!!

I made potato cheese soup. Had tuna/egg salad on Wasa crispbread, and some watermelon.

jasdip, think I'll try the way you made corn sometime.

Very hot and sunny here. Drove 5 and a half hours to spend a few days with daughter and grandsons. Had a simple meal of prosciutto, cherries and cheese.

My ride today was 45 miles long. Mel's story is up, but I only got pictures posted so far. It is hot and humid here, and we are NOT camping again.

We walked two businesses down to the grocery store and got a rotisserie chicken, 3deviled eggs, a small container of crab salad, a small container of potato salad and a pint of Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream for dessert. Clean up was easy, toss all those dishes in the trash outside.

Cooked the round steak roast after 5:30 breakfast. No rain, and beautiful sunny steamy hot was kicking in early. Not about to waste this day indoors. Packed the cooler and joined the smiling mobs for a 9 hr day at the beach. Summer sure puts everyone in a good mood. Resting the belly before shoving down some Key Lime pie.

We'd been cleaning, organizing and donating today, so we're going easy with no oven on. DH is picking up the pizza, and I put together the garden salads. There will be left overs for tomorrow's lunch.

Ribs, home made potato salad, corn on the cob.
I put the ribs in the oven, and we went out and took a dip in the pool. Now, just waiting for the corn to be done, and we will be pigging OUT!

Pork shoulder was on sale. 6+ pounds. I got up before 6 a.m. and put it on the grill. Only one (out of four) burners going and that had mequite chips on it. The meat was done about 5:00 p.m. Fresh green beans and beets from the garden. I made a sweet sopping sauce for the pork. Lots of leftovers for sandwiches later.

No rain here today, but plenty warm. At times there was a breeze. Alyssa was with us all afternoon. Cheryl and Kevin were here too, he did work on the chicken house. I fixed bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches for supper, cottage cheese, potato salad, radishes from the garden and devil's food cake. The four of us ate and then Cheryl and I took a few spins around looking at the garden. It has been a full day.

Albertson's Deli..made us hot freshly fried chicken and jo jo's...

Kellan and I washed our down with thick rich dairy fresh chocolate milk..

I made more strawberry freezer jam...made some peach too with delish white peaches from Costco..but didn't set up...to juicy..I'll try to stir in a bit more instant pectin...and see if that helps..if not...I see it added to BBQ sauce for pork and chicken. ~wink~

Vacuumed the acres of carpet in this house...lol...
Got some reading in the sun on the deck done, until my man decided it was time to remove me from the furniture and give all a coat of spray paint..

Went to town and got paper products and more paint supplies..

Beautiful day here today...warm, breezy and just right..looks to be a cloud or two coming in...hopefully will shower over night as it did last, because it's supposed to be heat'n up any day now...

What's jo-jo's?

I made a couple of different sushi rolls for us, plus we had some grilled salmon and slaw. It was too muggy to sit outside this evening after heavy storms most of the day.

We had BLTs for brunch with the most delicious Brandywine, still warm from the sun. My goodness, it doesn't get any better than that.
