Dh and I will fight over the last of the rhubarb pie that daughter brought us on Friday. Actually there is enough for two, especially if we put ice cream on it. We finished off some salad for lunch that was leftover from last night, so pie for supper is legal.

Had a Burger King Whopper, that I purchased at the drive-thru and ate at home.

Had a condo association meeting and made margarita bites to share. Big hit

Served them on small round tortillas

Margarita bites
2 3 oz boxes lime jello
2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup tequilla plus two TBS tequilla
1 8 oz thawed cool whip

STIR boiling water into dry gelatin mixes with wire whisk in a large bowl at least 2 mins. Stir in tequila and 2 tbs tequilla. Add whipped topping, Stir until whipped topping is completely melted and well blended.
Pour into an 8 inch square pan.

Cool whip rises to the top to make two layers when chilled.

Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Cut into pieces that will fit on top of the small tortilla rounds.

Gazania, rhubarb is a fruit so you can count that as one of your 5 fruits/veggies for the day. Sounds like your daughter is a keeper!

Glenda, woo hoo! I bet you had a fun condo assoc. meeting--that recipe has 1/2 c. tequila in it. :-) I bet it's pretty with the two-colored layers.

We are now in Niagara Falls for a couple of days.

The other day I made pork chops in the crockpot with cream of mushroom soup and onions. So tonight we had that over steamed rice, carrots and a salad.

Played golf today. I don't usually play on Sundays but I had a match to play and it was the only day we could set it up. I really didn't expect to win.....my opponent is 11 years younger and has been playing very well. We went to the 18th hole. I had to sink a putt to extend the match. It was a makable putt but it rimmed the hole and bounced out. Oh well, it was a great match. I shot a 94 which is pretty good for me anymore. Getting old is tough in more ways than one. Keeping your focus gets harder and harder.

I think we'll have left over quiche because I'm too tired to cook. Competition is exhausting!

Busy day today. Had to finish some yard work & we cut the lawn. I have 2 butterfly bushes but one of them needs to be deadheaded so it will continue to bloom. I love to sit on the porch & watch the butterflies & humming birds going after the nectar. The hummingbird feeders had to be cleaned & refilled.
I decided to cut up the turkey today so it would be done for a few dinners. The cats got the carcass & the 2 dogs each got a leg.
For dinner we had turkey sandwiches & hubby had some stuffings.

Nita, has your trip been everything you'd hoped? You are getting to the short end of your big experience. I saw the post where you were taking Timm to the airport. Glad you got to spend so much time with your cuz! Pork chops in the crockpot sure are tender. Sure wish I could go to London for lunch with you. What fun that would be!! Enjoy!

Mary, aren't butterfly bushes wonderful to watch? I should plant one here someplace. I just know you had some mighty happy pets at your house today. I ususally cook the carcass and make soup from the broth.
