Hot and and sticky now, compared to this morning. We had to get out of the pool just 10 minutes into class, as there were huge claps of thunder. Just turned the ac back on.

Talk about fish, I wanted snapper fingers, but didn't want to drive into town to get them so I stopped by Mama Goldberg's and had my usual: bologna on rye with pepper jack cheese.

Hot here too. We are getting afternoon showers just to make it hotter.
For dinner hubby had crab cakes & a salad & I had a pork chop with mashed potato.

I had a potato, and mac/cheese. Was just getting ready to heat up some frozen, already cooked, hamburger for the mac/cheese when my micro gave out. As I use it several times a day for reheating, etc, I'll be out and about in my little burg, seeing what the one and only appliance store has to offer.

The one electric repairman calls my place the place where squirrels go to commit suicide, Patti. 3 times they've blown out the transformer, leaving me 'in the dark'. Needless to say, I no longer think squirrels are cute.

Glenda, I ate the last of our bologna yesterday. I like it plain on saltines for lunch. Only buy it about once a year, but sure enjoy it when I do.

Well Mary, both dinners sound good to me. I've never tried making crab cakes because if we get crab legs, there are never any leftovers--and buying it in a can is sooo expensive.

Gosh, Shirley. Sure hope you can find a replacement mircrowave tomorrow. I had bought one of those sensor things that are supposed to keep squirrels away, but I hadn't put it out. I did when Harry came home with the bad news. They're just rodents with cute tails. But they've eaten the arms on my andirondack chairs on the front porch, gotten into our attic and eaten through wires tothe air conditioner and now the car--for the second time. I've had it with them!!

Today I had to go to Trader Joe's first thing in the morning and pick up the flowers for our luncheon tomorrow. Then, I headed for the C.C. to decorate the tables. Finished with the tables and back to Trader Joe's for more flowers to do the mantel. I had bought flowers for the mantel but we needed them in the table arrangements. Came back home and changed to go play bridge. After bridge it was back to the C.C. to put the final touches on everything. I was suppose to go to William and Mary tonight for their Shakespeare festival, but after being gone most of last week and the weekend too, my conscience got the best of me and I decided to stay home and make dinner for tonight. I have some shrimp defrosting. We'll have linguine with shrimp and clam sauce along with a small salad.

Having fun can get very tiring!

My hubby came home with supper in hand this evening! He had to stop at Sam's Club and picked up one of their ready made meals....gotta LOVE my hubby!! :)
