I didn't want to use the oven today as it was so hot, but really wanted fingerlings. My 'want' won out. I served them with a baked potato, and green beans.

Now to get my dishes done before another line of storms comes through.

Patti, sounds like you had a busy day baking, I just love days like that. Should have been a baker. Maybe in my next life. Had a Dr's appt this morning. Having trouble with my BP, I hope this is high just from the pain & nothing else.
For dinner it was turkey with french fries, a easy one.

Had a great day today. Played good golf and the ladies I played with were a lot of fun. Lunch turned out wonderful......Waldorf chicken salad on a bed of lightly dressed salad greens with a cup of cold cucumber soup and some zucchini bread. Very refreshing. The dessert was a merengue cup with blueberries and strawberries marinated in Grand Marneir with a dollop of whipped cream. The presentation was beautiful. Glad the tournament is over and I can relax now.

Dinner tonight will be left over linguine with the clam sauce for DH (I'm so jealous) and I will finish up the quiche. Guess I'll have to make something for tomorrow night.

Today was more comfortable, but still plenty humid.
We had basa fillets, sauteed cabbage, carrots and onions, and some of the healthy concoction I made on Sunday. Rice, black beans, lentils, corn, onions, tomato and lots of spices. Served at room temperature vs hot, and it's a real healthy side.

Hubby had his blood pressure checked.....the doctor is monitoring it. The top number is still high so we vowed to lay off the chips. :(
I use little salt in my cooking, don't salt the water for potatoes, and veggies, and I don't salt at the table.

Glenda, it would be so fun to just order what I want whenever I wanted it. I would order just what you did--or maybe just two crab bisques. Yum!

Shirley, I don't worry much about the oven heating the house up. We have the air on anyway. I do keep it on 76 though and my electric bill is usually under $100. Are those chicken fingerlings you had?

Mary, hope they can get that BP under control. Harry's is spot on now that he takes 10,000 meds :-) I don't know about you, but I never get tired of turkey. I did have fun in the kitchen. We should go into the business together :-)

Georgysmom, that sounds like a wonderful day. You played well, enjoyed the company and had a wonderful lunch. Time to pay the piper tomorrow, my dear!!

Jasdip, you're just a few days away from meeting Nita and Mike. You will just love them. I'm so jealous that I can't be there and meet you all, too. :-( We eat very little salt, too. It makes it hard when you eat out because everything tastes too salty. Hope DH gets his BP under control. Cutting the salt is a good start.

Patti: I think I better just make my appt with a psychiatrist first thing tomorrow. lol I didn't have fingerlings, I had porcupine meatballs!!!! Geez.

I don't have total house ac, just one little lone window unit. So if I use the oven, it raises the temperature in here.

After all of that red snapper talk yesterday....! The frozen snapper from Costco is darned good! Lightly pan fried in butter, fresh roasted Brussels sprouts, and a brown rice /red rice / wild rice/onions /quinoi/mushroom side. DEElicious!

I made a tartar sauce with mayo, onion, and dill relish. I think I like sweet relish better.
