Doesn't surprise me either. Just when the kids hit 5 years old, time to start school, they need more drama to keep up the interest of viewers. Divorce, new girlfriend for Jon, what will Kate do now, etc.............

I'm sure that Kate won't mind...a long as she is paid and gets top billing.

In a perfect world, it "takes two to make or break a marriage". Unfortunately in the REAL world, those two may NOT be the husband and wife.
The two are the partner and the other person ending the marriage. Often one partner is completely blindsided. Been there, done that..
Guess we'll have to see if the truth comes out. Sort of like Dancing with The Stars..done with that too!

OMG. Can you imagine those poor kids someday realizing that their parents let the world watch them try to cope w/ their parents divorce as well as daddy's new girlfriend? Makes me want to knock 'em both in the head. So sad.

Whatever brings the money in....prostitution comes in many many forms you know.
I keep waiting for the state of Pennsylvania (or wherever this family is from) to step in and take the kids. None of this is good for them and the whole world knows it...

Sorry Lori but in PA there are plenty of children much worse off.

I don't really see up until now any damage being done to the kids. Think about it, when you were young and knew family with 8 children did they have anything, These children have many material things and get to go everywhere and see everything, they are very happy as I see it, but we all know that material items don't make the child, so in the light they are not very well off. I don't watch very often, but I do like to peek in. The older girls are getting more miserable every year. I hope the younger ones don't change to much that way. Just my opinion.

"TLC is blasting back at reports claiming Jon Gosselin's alleged mistress -- Deanna Hummel -- will appear on the show when it starts back up in August.

TLC just released the following statement:

"There are no plans to use her. We are in hiatus and all future episodes haven't even been planned."

It would be tacky to bring her into the picture....the focus of the show was on the kids and that's why I watched. It is getting so far off them and onto the parents, now I watch out of curiosity as many other people are doing. I am so sick of kate and I used to like her...I do however know what it's like to have so many kids under one roof, only mine go home at the end of the day. Then I think of all the help she is getting and I have mixed feelings about her. Jon needs an outlet...can you imagine living with 8 kids, the camera crew AND Kate putting him down and yelling at him like one of the kids in front of everyone including his own kids??? I think he's just had it with her and finally got a backbone. Ok so the alleged girlfriend wasn't a good idea so soon....it sounds like he was left with the kids alone quite a bit while she was off building her empire. Not sure what to believe in all of this really..but I do know that having that many kids has got to wear on one person alone. Maddie alone would make me want to run and hide! I hate to hear her...she's as annoying as her mom. The whole thing is so sad....they should have stopped the show while they were still ok.

Maddy is a mini Kate. And when the five year olds get much older , they won't be as cute anymore. Who wants to see 10 year olds running around. Kate knows their days are numbered.

Here we go again making the culprit of a failed marriage someone who one partner ends up seeing. As John says in the ad, I finally stood up for myself and I'm proud of it. I don't know the whole story and can only judge from what I have seen but I'd say if Jon took comfort by getting out from under her thumb, more power to him. I haven't seen Kate ever do the humble pie thing until this and now she is sitting is front of the camera trying to make everyone think she didn't deserve this and will Jon may not want to play any more, she'll carry on...BS

Whatever the reasons for failed marriages, and there are twice as many reasons as failed marriages: my attitude is that anyone who "ends up seeing one of the partners" IS...I repeat IS a culprit. Unless and until the divorce papers are in hand that person sees it in black and white, then yes, they are absolutely culpable.

Finish one relationship BEFORE you begin another. If you're that miserable, and you feel beyond a doubt that you've put full effort into making it work but it didn't and won't, then fine. Get a divorce. But don't start up with someone else until after it is is finished, final, and filed.

I kind of figured whateverhernameis would wind up being that personal coach he had at the gym. It was pretty easy to pick up on his interest and hers too.

THey took a survey 85 % people asked said do not bring show back,I watched it a few weeks ago I could not believe how she made a fool out of him on tv.I kinda understand him but to leave all those innocent children,with no dad.I for one will not watch again,70,000 for 30 episodes.geeze

Just two more people that don't know what wedding vows are and/or decided to modify them. "For better or worse" is now changed to "up until I find a better deal", and "'till death do us part" has become "'till 'irreconcilable differences' do us part".

Since vows don't mean anything, why should they finish one relationship before starting another? Vows mean nothing anymore. Party on dudes.

I've watched this show from day one and looked forward to seeing it on Monday nights. I know Kate is an Aries and always wondered what Jon is. I liked them both. Maddy is a kid, being herself and allowed to be. In a different household I could sure imagine that being beat, starved or whatever, out of her. I wonder what happened that finally forced Jon to stand up to the force that is Kate? Which one cheated first? In my experience there's always someone else in the wings waiting when someone like Jon does such a turn around. Their last show when they sat apart and told their stories was very sad for me to watch. So tell me, what sign is Jon born under? Pisces, maybe?

If its actually true what they say about they haven't been together in 2 years. I don't think it would be out of line, for Jon to have a new person in his life. The tlc only allows us to see what they think we wanna see. Him being seen out in public and stuff that somehow had to be in the public view, so they could better do there story line.

I have never watched this program, but from what people have posted about this couple all I have to say is why do people watch this kind of sensational rubbish? Why not watch something with real family values, or is that just too boring? Much rather watch something that is good gossip? I don't get it, really I don't. I am not trying to be ugly here, I just hate these kind of shows, and wonder what all the hoopla is about.. sorry if I offended anyone. (;-)

LOL rthummer, it started out as a show about family values and people got hooked. Now it's like a train-wreck and you almost can't look away.

A family when it is whole and satisfying is a good thing for one child or 8 children but I believe that in some instances, children are better off with divorced parents. I think it is cruel to bring children up in a hostile and unloving enviroment...I am sure there are many people out there but I personally have never met anyone that wasn't better off after a divorce....not financially but mentally and emotionally. By the time it reaches that point no one profits....not even the children.

I predict that with Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett dying, jon and kate will be old news and disappear. They were on five magazine covers this week. Ridiculous. Over 70% surveyed don't want the show back.
