Just realized, haven't seen Chubbyrat in a long time...

Someone posted about their dog and it reminded me of Chubbyrat and her dogs. Haven't seen her here in a while. Anyone heard from her? I just sent her a message through Facebook.

I'm here! Just returned last night from 2 weeks in PA.My sister had a hip replacement and I went home for awhile.Going back on Aug 21st to stay with my mom for 3 weeks,she's getting a knee replacement.Busy,busy two weeks,had no computer time! I had my mobile home torn down while in PA.It leaked and the walls rotted....so now I have no home to go back to.If we ever go back,I'll have to live with my mom for awhile til we get a place.Oh well....life goes on.
Thanks for asking about me! I probably won't be on much from Aug 21st until I get home again.
I really missed my dogs...and what a home coming.They missed me too,I was MAULED for about an hour! LOL! I loved it!

I remember the days before I-Village bought the gardening website. We had a guy called "Spike" who would send us to Disneyland link if he didn't like the tone of our messages. One fellow posted too many pics "hosta of the day" that inspired our friend Papou to take notes on his new beds, and that fellow Hank Zumach was banned. That was back about 2001, I think. Where would one go to suggest pinned threads? I cannot find a moderator link for Tamara. I never got an answer when I repeatedly reported a spammer on the bathroom forum that took up more than whole page of posts for a few days within the last week or so? I've been here a long time. Too long, I guess. I have seen the FAQ first set up, then updated, but now much of that info is out of date. It seems to me that between the Hosta Library and the American Hosta Society websites, all those bases are covered. -Babka

brook, I used to hear them here all the time, but then several years went by and I heard nothing. Then last year I heard them once or twice. Funny you mention predators.......as I was following one, trying to get its picture, a hawk flew overhead. :( I quickly left the Bobwhite alone. I live in central Indiana. Isn't it strange to find 3 of them now, with a foot of snow on the ground and extremely cold temps? We have 35 acres of land.......a mix of woods and growing up fields. We have tons of big brush piles, so hopefully they've found some shelter in those. I put some dried corn around the areas they seemed to frequent. I have a friend who said she had a bobwhite once that loved greenbeans.

Hey, lov2garden, welcome back! I still miss "ja-mamas"--he's outgrown that, and if I try to use it, he corrects me! But I think I'll hold onto it. Heck, my mom, sister, etc., and I still say "underbrella," which was my little sister's word. And my sympathies on the yellow--wow, is that a hard color to get right. And there ARE so many ugly ones. I don't quite understand why paint companies make some of them--who wants snot-yellow, really, anywhere in the world? I went through an "off white" that was really light brown, and the picked a yellow that I thought was too strong. It's grown on me, but it's still pretty strong. I think I really ought to do a sponge treatment over it in white, but I don't have time. I have SO much trouble getting any "deep" stuff done bcs I feel like I spend all my time just keeping up w/ TODAY'S "harm." You lost 4 months, maybe more, of you. The only way to get that back fast is to get EXTRA manpower--can you hire someone to help you? A cleaning lady who also seems sensible? Recruit a friend? Also know this: pretty soon even the income-producing part of your business is going to be hurting bcs of chaos, so it's a smart BUSINESS STRATEGY to get some of your order back.Think if it as "sharpening the saw." So, it's OK to use some business time to begin to create that order. Welcome back--to us, and to getting control of your home and life again! I'm glad you're feeling better.

Here is my hit list. These came for a recent set of films I reviewed for a private group. Sahara - A Clive Cussler Adventure tale. A Night as the Museum - Fantasy. Museum artifacts come alive after the museum closes for the night and shocks the newly hired watchman. National Teasure Adventure, Exploration, highy fictional WALL-E A cutsey robot roams a ruined earth and is trying to tidy up the place. He makes it his full time job, but then it gets very dangerous for him to be out of his abode. Journey to the Center of the Earth. Based on a book by the same name and used as a platform to make a digitized movie where the director can go beyond conventional special effects. The Secret Life of the Bees Interpersonal interplay of a young girl who finds a houseful of caring Black women after she runs away from a very terrible home situation. UP - a rollicking cartoon film about a codgedy old man who has lost his wife and nearly lost the will to live when he suddently decides to kick civilization in the rear and make the dream trip that he and his wife had discussed and said someday we'll go. It's one of the better movies of this group. Ed Azner does his voice - a perfect match. Avatar Science fiction totally digitized. A block buster effort. It does have scenes where violence is directed toward the planet and its hidden inhabitants, but these scenes are necessary to tell the story. Toy Story 3 Like Toy Story 1 and 2, except Andy has aged is going off to college. The toys are headed for the storage bin and are in danger of being tossed out. Robots Fictional robot characters and their lives. They have atonishingly human traits and some are not so good. The director uses the characters as a canvas to play out the interaction of these traits.

Hey Linda! I had Lebanon...DelGrosso's...oxroast...Ritchey's Ice Cream...Best Way Pizza ...I was in heaven!And somehow lost 10 lbs while there.I think I sweated it off...was drenched from morning to night.Not used to the humidity anymore!

Deb, I was home for an emergency in March and again for my Aunt's 80 birthday in April. I got some goodies too but the Lebonon was my favorite! What I really wanted and didn't get was chicken and waffles!

Haha. I never heard anyone so fond of lebanon bologna. I guess I would be too if I never had it again. Gosh you ought to eat some Amish made barbeque chicken - you would come back 3 times!
