It is highly unlikely that you have any queen traveling around since the duty of a queen ant, bee, wasp, is to lay eggs and the workers stay around her to feed and otherwise care for her, she simply does not move around except once a year, maybe, with a swarm. To deter the ants trying to gain access to your house (they are simply folloowing a trail left by others) is to spray either some lemon juice or peppermint oil (be sure it it is real and not a synthetic) in that area and after they have moved on fill in those cracks to keep others from gaining entry.

They all wanted a sofa or armchair for real sitting I wonder if it is easy to buy kitchen cabinet doors at places like home depot. If you had a storage unit scaled for livingroom/bedroom that would accept kitchen cabinet doors from home stores, then people could customize modern or traditional and choose any colors. They could even recycle old doors. On HGTV I saw a designer create a desk unit in a wide closet by removing the doors and installing a length of laminated kitchen counter, you know the type with the backsplash, by building supports underneath. What if you designed an adjustable size frame with legs that could support a length of countertop? Persons could get the slab cut at the home store to exact size and build a perfect desk, maybe add kitchen cabinet doors to the front if you had a shelving unit that could accept such doors as part of the frame. Such a desk could be disassembled for moving, or changing the countertop/doors I appreciate that people are out there listening to suggestions and trying to improve...

I just went through something like this at my place. I got these new neighbours on both sides of me a couple of years ago, and I swear the food they cook smells like dead bodies. No joke. At first I thought they were cooking drugs. For the last year it has been really bad during the pandemic. About a dozen times there was a smell coming into my apartment, and one day I just had enough. I called the super and complained. It was ok for awhile and then it started again. Its obvious they dont care about what the supers say so I let it go for a few more times, and then I called the head office. I spoke with the main secretary of the head office and told him what is going on. Then he told me to send him an email, and the owner responded. Since I have complaint its not that bad. Like, I understand its hard to complain about this issue because it is a sensitive one. However, if you work hard to pay the rent and you follow all the rules, why should you have to put up with a smell that is going to ruin the contents in your apartment to a point where you will have to throw out your furniture when you move out? Its not right. If you feel annoyed, say something and stick up for yourself. Who cares what they think! If they had respect for your in the first place and/or the property, they would of boiled water and vinegar on the stove while they were cooking it.

YEA, directTV is waiving the early termination fee. As well they should! Lets see what else...DD#2 decided that she SHOULD get renters insurance (A whopping $7.50 a month). She was able to "grab" quite a bit when they were able to go in (but were told to get out if they heard any kind of noise), but most was ruined, but good to catalog for insurance purpose.
