Hey there, Frugaljon....welcome aboard. I wish to recommend to your pleasure a video on YouTube about the Hanging Hosta of Hampshire. Ever heard of them? I've watched the videos innumerable times, trying to note details of how they manage so many hosta, and what happens when winter comes, you know, just looking and dreaming. I link to one such video below. My hosta garden is 25 x 100 and is in coastal Alabama (near the Gulf of Mexico), and my zone is considered 9a or at best 8b. We have an undependable winter here, but we manage a few freezes and cold temps enough to make dormancy possible. Get ready to join the fun day after Christmas, when the Hosta Alphabet series begins. Until then, similar threads exist for last last several years. Wonderful resource. Here is a link that might be useful: HANGING HOSTAS OF HAMPSHIRE video

I got the notification things were changing here in my email! I never forgot about this place, but life took the wheel. A lot has changed for me. I left behind all of my gardens and am starting new! It is going to be theraputic I think :) I won't even tell you all what he did to my babies. I now work online selling vintage items from the past, sort of my own little mark on the world. So I do not plan to get back into trading, but as seeds overflow here I will be around to give them away on occasion ;) Ok, maybe a trade or two along the way for old times sake ;) I was in PA my whole life, I am now in NC. Total different world! So much for gardening in flip flops! :D It is so nice to see this forum still going strong. The community here is just how I remember it. In this crazy world it is so nice to know there are many that are still in touch with what matters :)

IMO stainless just is better . There is a reason thye are used in commercial kitchens and I think every kitchen should be treated like what it is a working space where prcticality and function are top of the list. I run a catering bix from home I have back to back stainless sinks with buitin drain boards honestly cheep from Ikea 15 yrs ago still look great not one dent and I would get them again if I move .

It's great to have you back...but you've been gone long enough that you need to bring chocolate (as required for newbies).

Bring us up to date on what's going on with you. And visit us often!

Wow, thank you everyone, the warm welcome brought me a much needed smile! I must confess, Im in a bit of a depressed state here of late as I just lost my baby brother to cancer in April. I am fighting to keep myself from going under and I knew I needed to reach out, meet new people and find some other connections. I am disabled due to my health so I donot get the chance to physically go out and meet and connect with others. I remembered the KT and made the leap to try and re-connect.
Oh and how many pounds of chocolate shall I bring? I make some pretty delish choc covered pretzels :) and my coffee pot is always full and ready to share!!!

Kathy you have my sympathy for your loss.

I am a fellow beader and fibro sufferer, but nowhere near as bad as it sounds like you have it. Sending you very gentle hugs.

May I ask what name you posted under before? Or maybe I am just not remembering you being from Delaware.

Hi Tami, my name is still the same even after all this time! I did have to recreate a new password, no idea what it once was.
What types of jewelry making do you do/enjoy. I dabble in various mediums, wire, stringing, some bead weaving suxh as simple raw. Im in a very dry spell with it now aka beaders block, probably due to the stress and depression. What keeps you motivated/inspired?

Kathy, I mostly do off loom weaving. I've been doing it since about 2009, off and on. I like to do bracelets and earrings. I have a couple of sites I watch and search you tube for videos. I'm on my phone right now so can't post any pictures but will try to remember to post some later from the laptop. I have a few favorites that I like to keep making also.
