It's been a long time since I dyed my hair.....
Comments (5)Here is an unfortunately true story from last winter.... February 4, 2003 Taxes are done and sent, we've our first break in sub-freezing temperatures in a month and life is good. Except I got bored, which is a dangerous thing. So I figured I'd blend a bit of grey hair away with a bit of light brown dye. Not so bad. So it wasn't all one color I figured I'd now add a bit of dark brown dye. Picture Mortica Adams black hair except flaming red where the grey was. Oh that'll never do! No time last night to fix it so off to the drug store this morning. I found a light brown dye with highlighter. Perfect I think, that'll save this blending different colors. If a few highlights are good more are better, and if 15 minutes of highlights are good 30 minutes would be better no doubt. So back to the net to check the news never looking in the mirror I spent a half hour cruising the net. Egads! It is not highlighter in a different color, it was peroxide! Now I have various shades of dark brown hair and large white bleach stripes through it all. Off to the drugstore in a baseball hair, hair still wet, I grabbed some plain brown dye. Now I have a fine head of bright red hair just like Laura Bush. I don't dare touch it again anytime soon I'm sure it'll all fall out if I do. I'll just have to find safer things to play with in the future. ---- After this was a trip to the hair dresser. She had gorgeous red hair and could not understand why I wanted to have brown hair. She frosted it with a medium brown which helped some. A few months later I had another hair dresser frost it with some dark brown. Now it is just my own growing back....See MoreIt's Been 7 Yrs. since I Shopped For A Faucet/ Suggestions?
Comments (5)Wish I had known about GW a year and a half ago when we picked out a new faucet, I could have asked the same question, although it had been 25+ years since I shopped for a kitchen faucet. While I like the look and feel of the Grohe Bridgeford we selected, one thing that is very disappointing is it does not lock on spray! I find I use the spray almost 99% of the time, which means one hand always has to be on the button...very inconvenient to say the least, but the faucet was not cheap, so I guess I'm stuck with it for a while :(...See MoreIt’s been a long time.... let’s see your stash.
Comments (20)lafdr, Yes. Guilty! Hoarder of laundry products. I can't speak for the others, but it's my quirky little pleasure for some odd reason. My supply makes me happy :) My goal, is to get down to armjim's supply, if I could ever not have to try out the next one, the better one, the new one. I could easily (and happily) live with just Tide powder, stpp, oxygen bleach, Borax and dryer sheets (I don't use liquid fabric softener). Not pictured in my photo above is my supply of backup powder detergent in case of powdergeddon, which are extras of my usual powders like Tide, ALL, Mexican Ariel. There's been talk of manufacturers wanting to discontinue with powder detergent and give us only liquids to use. I could not imagine not having my powder detergents anymore. This possibility fuels powder hoarding....See MoreIt's been a long time!! Almost 2 years, but I'm back! Help ID?
Comments (7)Frankielynn, I didn't move far, just to Springfield, MO. I actually moved twice last year. The neighbors at my first place were awful and purposely destroyed my plants. I am honestly surprised and grateful that any of them came back this year!! My newer place has better neighbors, more trustworthy. Just less room. Djacobz, I love First Frost, so I wouldn't mind it being one. I just hate when they might be labeled wrong is all! LOL!! Yours is beautiful! My older one came back but I don't think it's going to make it. It's looking declined and sickly. Stupid, old, neighbors!! It was as stunning as yours, though. Steve, I had a Blue Ivory for a couple of years, part of the patio garden rebuild cluster I bought. My neighbors killed it and it didn't come back this year. I was so upset, so I have been looking for it. But, my other one had much larger margins, like yours. That was why I question this new one. But, you may be right, only time will tell....See MorePaul F.
