it’s the first time I see soil cover in mole, something wrong ?
Comments (12)This has already been mentioned, but I think it’s important to say it again;). These guys are VERY cold hardy. They can go down to -34C and I wouldn’t be surprised if they could survive lower temps knowing the areas where these naturally flourish. They are outside plants and I’m fairly certain it’s going to be a major struggle growing inside. It’s like when people try to grow Sempervivum inside. I have yet to see a beautifully grown Sempervivum inside;). These guys do terrible in the heat and will just fall apart. Hopefully there’s somewhere you can put this outside away from lots of humidity and rain. Under an eave of a home would work....See MoreLet’s see your best daylily photography!
Comments (28)These photos are beautiful! But, Sherry, selecting three photos out of the hundreds I have taken this season this so long season is a very hard task. I will be including one extra in comments because Houzz will not take my camera shots except a single one in comments I include it because it is the desktop shot on my PC and it puts me in a happy mood every time I see it. Comments (23)Atheen, funny how things like that make our hearts rejoice. What a beautiful pic. I never see cardinals in my yard. Someone or something is trying to tell you something since sending anything your way like that is special. Yes, stick around more often and share. Post to the February one too. We need more people like you around around)))) Floral, all plants are equal to me. They serve their purpose. Nice pics and hard to believe spring is popping up some where. Gives us hope. Thanks Tropico, I can't believe you got that to flower at such a young age. I have always wanted to grow one of those. Nice work. Looks like it's well on it's way into a good shape. Yes, see you in February)...See MoreIt’s another give away! Only this time it’s rice bags.
Comments (36)PS — kathyg, you’ve probably already thought of this, but if /when I am mailing these, I make the colorful cover, and sew the case leaving about a 2” opening so that the recipient can add their own rice with the help on a printer paper cone or funnel. Then they can just hand or machine stitch to close that opening. I use the cheapest white rice I can find, in a large bag at the grocery store. Shipping these empty, withou rice is much easier on your wallet. PS When the rice feels too broken down or toasted, I just cut off the top of the liner, empty out the rice. Wash the liner to remove rice dust, dry liner, then add replacement rice, and stitch the top back up. Bada Bing....See MoreJody
