I left click on the image, let it load up and it'll come up larger. Then I right click on the larger image, and click on copy. Bring up the e-mail and right click again and paste.

Sue, I practice by sending MYSELF emails..lol. That way I can tell what is working.

Just go to your "sent" file and see if it worked.

I don't understand why Photobucket's method doesn't work.

Sue, click on your picture to make it show up normal size at Photo Bucket. Then right click on the normal size picture and copy. Go to your e-mail that you want to send and click paste.

Don't know what email program you're using so I can't speculate on that. IM usually requires you use a file transfer or photo sharing rather than putting it into the text. The recipient would need to be online and accept it to receive it.

Is your email program set for plain text only? That would cause it.

I use OE and I can either put the picture right in the text of email or use an attachment (where they have to click on it to open it.)

To send pictures in both of these ways, they only need to be in my computer. A hosting site isn't necessary. I usually have mine in My Documents.
At the top of the Email Create mail page I use either Insert or Attach. It drops down and you choose what you want to do. I find it helpful to first look it up in My Documents so it is easy to find the picture I want, when browsing for the picture to insert in the text.

If it is a picture that you found at Photobucket, can you SAVE it to My Documents first.

I use Thunderbird. Regardless of which email program is used, I still don't understand why clicking on "email and IM" in Photobucket doesn't work.

Why is it there if it doesn't work?

Judy, Yes, I can save the pic to My Documents, but sending it to "mail recipient" from there didn't work either.

I'm not sure about this, but I'm wondering if there might be some setting where you mark it to not include pictures in the text.

I have to go and snoope around. It just sounds familiar because I wondered WHY anyone would want that.

I found it on my Outlook Express. You should be able to find a similar marking.

This is the path I followed:

New Mail - Format - then scroll to the bottom and put a check in front of - Send pictures with messages

On Thunderbird I have never sent an attachment, but all I had to do was click on Attachment and Voila! there it was.

For your reward you get to see the pic I was trying to send. It is my DD's favorite picture from her DS's wedding. I framed it with Picnik.

There is usually a way to do those simple things, finding the way can be difficult at times.

Leslie, your a riot! What I know about computers would fit in a thimble with room to share! LOL

Is Picnik free? If it is I think I might like to try to figure it out. Can you send me a link, or is it just Picnik dot com.

Most of the time if I get past the registration questions I can make it, but Facebook has me stumped!

I first learned about Picnik at Comp Help. It is free, or you can upgrade for a fee. I use it free. I didn't really have a reason to use it until I got the wedding pictures.

There are lots of things you can do with it. Framing is all I've done so far. Super easy! To use Picnik in Firefox I had to disable Adblock, but that didn't cause any problems.

I'll probably be asking you questions about it before long!

I had never noticed that little Attachment icon on TBird. Who knew?

Still don't understand why the Photobucket thingy doesn't work.

Like you, I can usually figure these things out, or know where to get help, and I agree about Facebook. To me, it is like it is all in a foreign language.
